Days had passed by from the night you had spent with Akaashi. You got it together, getting up every morning, two of those mornings being morning practices for the team.
But before you even realized, New Year's Eve was tomorrow. It was scary seeing how fast time was going by.However, somewhere else in town, three of the Fukurodani volleyball boys team members met up at a small coffee shop nearby.
Konoha, Bokuto, and Akaashi all sat at the table booth, drinks sitting in front of each of them.
"For this New Years bet, there is no way we are backing out. We gotta do this." Konoha glared at Akaashi.
Akaashi, staring back, looked to the side with narrowed eyes and a face of discomfort.
"You should tell Kaori that her eyes are so pretty in the reflection of the fireworks when they go off." Bokuto spoke excitingly to Konoha, "Trust me I know the ladies love me."
"You've never had a girlfriend Bokuto-San." Akaashi spoke the truth with a skeptic expression.
Bokuto turned his head quickly, "Hah? What? Of course I've dated around I just haven't found..."
"You won't find The One by winking at older women in the stands." Akaashi retorted quickly.
Bokuto opened his mouth in frustration, moving his hands as he tried to speak, but as no words came out he slammed his head against the table.
Konoha held his hand against his mouth as he held back the laughs
Bokuto's soul seemed to leave his body, but a waiter walked by just in time.
Turning his head with as much energy as he could muster, and with a pale face, Bokuto grabbed the cloth of the waiter as she walked by and muttered, "You'd date me right?"
In disgust the waiter walked fast enough away for Bokuto's hand to slip from the cloth.
Konoha laughed out loud as Bokuto's hand fell and head slammed back against the wood table.
"Stop Bokuto-San that's harassment." Akaashi told him.
They could hear Bokuto's muffled whine.
"Anyway, Akaashi, your going to do this right?" Konoha focused.
"Eh..." Akaashi stuttered.
Bokuto immediately turned his ear up, listening to their conversation.
"I can see how she looks at you Akaashi, nothing can go wrong from this." Konoha spoke.
"Like you know, nobody looks at you like that so how would you..." Bokuto started with a straight and sad tone.
"Kaori looks at me like that!" Konoha defended quickly.
Bokuto whined again, turning his face back into the table, letting a high pitched noise escape his mouth.
Konoha narrowed his eyebrows, rolling his eyes, "I'm sorry Bokuto, I won't yell please join in on the conversation."
"You should have just asked in the first place." Bokuto popped up.
Konoha and Akaashi sighed in unison, adopting a grin as they looked at one another.
"Akaashiiiii, you aren't a person that's afraid to take risks in desperate situations and this is a desperate situation. Tell her how you feel." Bokuto offered.
