The next early morning, Fukurodani was on its way to the first round of Nationals. The opposing team was none other than Eiwa High School. An almost guaranteed win.

You woke to a half asleep Akaashi waking you up, telling you that soon you'd need to leave for school. It was quick to your realization the strangeness of your life lately. Things that only seemed to happen to strangers were now becoming regular. Or at least you had never realized all how common these situations were, like having to be saved from creepy strangers by the guy you liked.

However, the time you spent thinking about it ended quickly as the buss pulled up to the stadiums. Soon enough the game had started, and you watched from behind the railing of the seats. The first set was won by none other than Fukurodani, a close set and won by 2 points over 19, breaking the point gap and confirming the tuff win. The second set was won much more easily, saying as the spirits had been crushed from their initial loss of the set. Bokuto was in top shape because of that.

Though the game had been quick, Eiwa High School was worthy of Nationals and worthy of a difficult opponent. Fukurodani was just better. That was the final conclusion of the first game. Fukurodani would continue.

Akaashi, mentally drained, spent the majority of the buss ride back staring at his reflection against the glass. His mind ran wild at the thought of you.
With the departure of the buss, you and Akaashi walked home silently. You would stay with him again tonight, and for several nights in the future.

Of course the night came quickly and quietly as you had dinner and relaxed. The next couple of days would go quickly with one or two games a day. At the end, the winner would be determined. It already seemed as if your sense of time had vanished.

You had noticed Akaashi's mute state as he stared at the wall unconsciously. His body lay scrunched up on the couch across from you.

"Akaashi, you okay?" You asked.

He closed his eyes for a few seconds before looking up to you, "Just really tired."

"Are you sure there isn't something on your mind?" You tilted your gaze.

"It's only a little stress." He answered quickly.

You couldn't help but think that you were a part of the stress. Without meaning to, you had brought multiple events into his life, and the thought of being problematic ached.

"I'm sorry..." You began, but Akaashi's sudden movements stopped you.

He stood quickly, and his face watched the floor as he walked to your side. Sticking his hand out to you, he never looked you in the eyes.

You took his hand in slight confusion. Akaashi immediately pulled you up to him, setting his forehead against your shoulder and resting his hands on your lower back.

"Don't apologize, there's no reason for that." He mumbled sleepily.

Akaashi's hair touched your neck as he breathed deeply, relaxing into you. He seemed slightly delirious in a tired state.

You smiled, breathing out a sigh, "Come on Akaashi, you need sleep."

"Yeah." He mumbled once more, barely audible.

You grabbed his hand in route of his bed as he dragged behind in a stumble. Once you reached the bed, Akaashi sat on the edge with your hand still entangled in your own.
His eyes closed as he fell back on the bed, and his hair spread out along his face.
