That night ended with a strange feeling. Akaashi had walked you home after the group had gotten back together, leaving you parting ways at the dorm complex.
It almost felt as if it was all a dream and that nothing had really happened at all.Yet, the current relationship between you and Akaashi confused you now. It had all felt so easy, and you hadn't ever imagined a confession of feelings to go quite like that in real life. It seemed as if there was nothing in the way of you and Akaashi. It didn't feel real in the slightest.
However, things were soon to take a turn as school and nationals came into play.
The days that had passed by so quickly after that night. It was now a new start to the week too. Monday morning, and break was over. A rude awakening came with the alarm clock's screech that woke you.
Kaori watched as you walked into school and waited for you as you put your shoes in your slot of the locker.
Akaashi walked in soon after, looking up after slipping his shoes off and putting them in his own slot.
You both turned perfectly at the same time to see one another as you approached the hallway.
Your faces went red and your bodies jumped in response, almost in perfect sync.
"Good morning." You greeted nervously.
"Too you as well." He answered shyly, turning his head down slightly.
Kaori watched the awkwardness with an annoyed and surprised face, dumbfounded of what a few days of not seeing each other had done to the two of you.
"Yuan! You coming?" Kaori called, trying to pull you out of the situation.
You jumped at the calling of your name, "Yup, See ya next period Akaashi." You speed walked to Kaori.
As soon as you turned the corner with Kaori, she flicked you in the forehead, "What was that!? You were so weird to each other!" She whisper yelled.
"I don't know how to react I've never been so nervous like this. I've never been in this situation before. I don't know what happened!" You covered your face.
"Well get it together because things will only get more awkward if you keep acting like that. All the progress will be for nothing!" She told you.
"I know I know! I just can't believe I kissed him Kaori! I'm so embarrassed!" Your face was pure crimson.
"Yeah I was shocked when you told me that on the phone. It's unlike you to be so impulsive especially when your so pro on getting to a serious point in the relationship before kissing." Kaori stated.
"I didn't even realize that I had until it was over. But it's not like Akaashi and I weren't close or anything, we haven't known each other for that long but he's still a best friend to me." You defended yourself.
"Well, he kissed you back." Kaori smirked.
Your face went even redder quickly.
"What if he just felt bad so he kissed me back!" You spurted.
"Dude he was confessing to you he wouldn't have if he didn't like you. Akaashi isn't like that, you know that." Kaori talked you out of your overthinking.
"Your right, I know." You mumbled.
"Just talk to him." Kaori told you as you two walked up the stairs.
"I'll get nervous." You argued.
"Okay, then keep being awkward and don't go anywhere." Kaori offered.
