JENNIE's POV
"Jen what are you doing here it's cold outside." I heard Jisoo whispered from my back while she wrap me inside her comfy wool blanket with her. She slid her arms around my waist and rested her chin on my shoulder giving me a backhug that would always ease my anxeties away.
"Jen-Jen, what are you doing here outside at this early morning? Is there something bothering you? Did you wake up from a bad dream?" she asked concerned but I just shook my head and stared at the view of the city from the balcony of our room. The sun was just starting to rise as warm and vibrant colors starts to fill the sky, signalling a brand new day ahead for us.
"Is there something wrong Babe? Tell me? I know you're bothered and anxious these past few days." She pressed the question again but this time Jisoo gently shifted my body around and made me look at her. She traced my face with her fingers and stared at me intently.
"Babe, tell me, are you still bothered about the case and that bastard who harrassed you?" she asked again with both of her hands gently fondling my cheeks for warmth and security.
"It's not about that Chu." I answered earnestly to ease her worry. It's true. I almost forgot that incident after that bastard was convicted for his crimes from his multiple victims and he was sentenced to more years in prison. Alice made sure about that.
To be honest that harrassment incident she suffered from him doesn't even produced her traumas. It was not that bad compared to what the other victims had suffered and she was thankful that she has given them the justice that they truly deserve.
"Then what is it Babe? Tell me? I can feel something is wrong. You'd been zoning out from everyone these past few days." Jisoo uttered which brought me to my senses. I stared at her and smiled weakly.
"I'm just worried Chu. November is almost approaching. I'm worried about Lisa." I answered which Jisoo was able to pick up instantly.
"Oh jeez I almost forgot Jendeuk. It's been almost a year since that accident happened." she mumbled shaking her head.
"I think Lisa would be fine by now Jen. She have Chaeyoung. And she's also driving now. I don't think something bad would happen again." she said assuringly but I just shook my head and gave her a faint smile.
"That's the problem Chu. She can drive now. What if she's driving that time and then she lost herself again."
"We almost lost her from that accident last year Chu. I don't want that to happen again."
"Babe, Lisa was too drunk that time remember? She was not thinking straight and she kept on having those flashbacks which made her ran away and drove Errin's car." Jisoo halted the moment she mentioned her name. No one from our friends ever dare mentioned her name in Lisa's pressence. Too afraid that it might cause her overwhelming emotions and she would breakdown again like she did a year ago at the school which caused her to file for an indefinite leave right after and ranaway.
They learned their lesson the hard way because of that.
And since then, they never mentioned her name ever again.
"She's sober now. Nothing like that will happen again." Jisoo continued placing a kiss on my forhead which somehow eased my anxities away.
"We have to trust in love right Jendeuki?" Jisoo smiled as she cupped my face and kissed me lovingly in the lips.
"But that's the thing Chu. She still loves Errin.
This one is a little fresh, Babe. The pain is still there. Even if she doesn't say it much I can feel it."
"She's my bestfriend Jisoo-Yah, I knew her better than anyone else. And believe me, this thing is consuming her little by little again. She's just too good with concealing her emotions."
