Groff's pov

After I gave Lin the notebook he seemed to do better. Sometimes he would look at Sebbie or see something in a room that would remind him of Vanessa, and he grabbed a pen and start intensively writing. Tears dripping unto the paper, while he moves the pen across the paper. After about a week he had almost filled it up completely. I got him a second notebook the day after that.

I'm changing Sebbies nappy when Lin walks in the room. "Hey, the babysitter is here, do you want to go get some coffee, before heading to the theatre?". I give him a small nod, focusing on putting a new nappy on Sebs without accidentally putting my hand in the old nappy. "Yeah, that would be nice" I mumble. I put Sebbie in his crib, before grabbing my coat, saying hi and bye to the babysitter and setting of with Lin.

The cafe we end up choosing is really cosy. It has these red booths with ambiance lights. It has these curtains around the boots and the waitress would knock three times before pulling away the curtains. It had a lot of speakeasy vibes. "So how are you doing?" I ask Lin while settling into the booth sitting opposite of him. He taps his fingers on the table, restless as always. His fingers seem to always itch to write. "Better" he says with a small smile. "How about you? I mean we've been so focused on me. I don't even know how you are doing" He asks curiosity and maybe a bit of shame?? in his eyes. "I'm doing good, very good, I love seeing you do better. It's kinda logical that we've been focusing on you. If I wasn't doing well, I would tell you Lin don't worry". I give him a reassuring smile. The waitress comes to take our orders." I want a Latte please" I say. Lin orders a black coffee. We spent a lot of time talking and laughing until Lin gets a call. "Hello, Leslie what's up?" Lin says smiling, his smile disappears immediately when Leslie starts stalking. Oh god, please don't say something else happened to someone. "All right bye" Lin hangs up the phone, immediately standing up. "Is everything, all right?" I ask worried sick to my stomach. "Yeah, stage call is in ten minutes, we're late" Lin says already putting on his coat. "Oh shit" I say, also standing up and putting my coat on. We quickly put some money on the table. While we are walking towards the exit, I say a quick thank you to the waitress. She gives me a big smile." No problem sir, you and your boyfriend make a very nice couple". My cheeks immediately start reddening "uhm we aren't a cou-" Lin cuts in. "Thank you" he grabs my hand, and we start running towards the theatre. We get some annoyed looks, but also some laughing looks from Pippa, Anthony and some of the other cast members. We scramble to get our costumes and make up on and Lin is just in time to say 'Alexander Hamilton' in the opening number, sweat already on his face, while Leslie is trying not to laugh.

Lin's pov

After we get home, we decide to order some pizza and watch a movie. "A pepperoni and- hang on a second" Groff looks at me." What kind of pizza do you want?" He mouths. "Hawaii" I mouth back, he pulls a disgusting face at me. "And a Hawaii pizza" he pauses before saying Hawaii, giving me that disgusting face again. I start laughing, he looks so ridiculous. After he hangs up, he drops himself next to me on the couch. "Hawaii, really?" he starts chuckles. "Yeah, what's so wrong with that?" I ask while I start giggling too." Everything, pineapple on pizza brrr" he says. We argue a bit more before we both have a laughing fit. After we Groff calms down a bit he says. "all right, I get that people like it, but I personally just don't like warm pineapple it's so soggy" I calm down too. " all right I get that".

We continue watching the movie, until the doorbell rings. "Yass, the pizzas" groff says and gets up to go get it. He opens the door and I immediately see him tense up. I get up now too, curious to see what made John tense up. "Hey, good to see you again, John" the pizza boy says. "Yeah, not good to see you too" Groff mumbles under his breath. "So are you single, I mean we could start something again" the pizzaboy says. Groff looks kind of angry before replying." Why would I want to get back in a relationship with you, Jack" he spits out. "Oh come on, babe you know I still love you. What I did was just a fluke" I feel anger rise up with in me. "You cheated on me and when I confronted you, you beat me up. I don't want to see your face ever again". The pizza boy "Jack" wants to say another thing, but I cut him off. "Hey honey" I say to Groff, before kissing him on the cheek and hugging him from behind. Jack ignores me and keeps on talking. "Come on babe, you know you still want me". I feel even more rage filling me up. "You better get out of my boyfriend's face before I beat you up" I hiss at his face. "Dude relax, I've seen you on social media, he is not your boyfriend, you're straight as fuck". I grab John's face and start kissing him, at first, I kiss him roughly, because I am so angry, but then I melt into the kiss, until I realise that that dude is still here and I am straight. "How is that for straight" I say before pulling the pizzas out of his hands and slamming the door in his face. "Motherfucker" I mutter under my breath while walking towards the couch. I let myself fall down on the couch, turning the movie back on. I look over at Groff he is still standing in the same position I left him. "Groff, you coming? Your pizza is getting cold" he shakes himself out of the trance like state he was in. "Yeah" he answers kinda quietly. As he sits down on the couch, I giggle a bit. "I mean I knew I was a good kisser, but this is a new one" I tease him. "Haha" he says sarcastically " Uhm thanks for bailing me out there" he says awkwardly. "Yeah totally, that's what best friends are for" I reply. He looks a bit sad when I said that, but it's probably because of his ex showing up. We settle under a blanket for the rest of the evening.
