He's mine

Lin's pov

Groff and I arrive at the Richard Rodgers theatre. We're one of the first ones there. There were a few cast members and Leslie and Daveed. We head over to our changing room. "I'm going to go see if Renee, Pippa and Yasmine are in yet". Groff says, awkwardly saying goodbye.

I decide to play some red dead redemption to kill the time. After a while I get bored and decide to go see what Groff and the cinnamon rolls are doing. As I walk into the hall, I hear Groff and someone else talking. I look around the corner, Groff and a cast member named Thayne. I'll listen in for a bit, maybe I'll hear some gossip.

"So, John, You're single. I am single. Why don't we mingle?"

Jealousy flames up in my chest. Back off, Thayne, He's mine. God, I always liked Thayne, but just that pickup line is enough to put him in jail. Wait why am I jealous?? I curse myself under my breath. You're supposed to be straight, Idiota. I mean the world thinks I am straight, I can't just change my sexuality like that.

"Nah Thayne, I like someone else, but thanks for the very nice offer though".

God I can practically hear Groff winking, with that last sentence. I'm kind of sad he has a crush on someone else. Then again, he thinks I'm totally straight, which I am. I am just a bit confused, maybe. I decide to say hi to them, before I hear any more personal stuff.

"Oh Groff, we all know you li- Oh hey Lin" Thayne looks up and gives me a wave. I walk up to them, is Groff okay, his cheeks are a bit red and he is looking at the ground as if he is embarrassed. "Hey guys, what are we talking about" I ask. "Y-" "The weather" Groff quickly says. "Oh nice, it's been kind of cold the last few days right, 🎶The weather was cold, the weather was cold, so you put on your scarves and gloves before you froze🎶". I sing. Thayne and Groff laugh at me and I start giggling to. "Let's sing it together". Thayne says, while still smiling. We sing it together. Groff goes in his falsetto and Thayne start singing some riffs.

Suddenly Pippa's head peaks around the corner. "I thought I heard you guys singing, we're going to go play truth or dare. Do you guys want to play?". "YASSS, LET'S GOO". Thayne says super enthusiastic. Groff and I exchange a look. "Do you want to go play?" Groff asks me, looking me in the eye with his beautiful blue eyes. "Uhm, yeah sure it will be fun, right?" I answer.

"Truth or dare, Daveed" Pippa asks Daveed with a giddy face. "Uhm, dare" Daveed answers quite nervously. I smile knowing that even though Pippa is a cinnamon roll, with this type of thing she is more of a Sinnamon roll. "Make out with Oak for 2 minutes". While Daveed usually doesn't blush, his cheeks turn a rosy shade of red. I look over at Oak who has the same shade. "I uhm I don't know" Daveed stammers. "Sure, we're professionals, so this means nothing "Oak says before walking up to Daveed and grabbing his face. Everybody starts cheering and whistling. When they are done, they're a bit out of breath. "This means nothing guys" Daveed says to the group. "Yeah, right" Chris says. He whispers to me. " I give it two weeks before they get in a relationship". "I heard that" Oak says, while softly smacking the back of Chris's head. I'm laughing my ass off until Daveed starts talking with a big grin on his face. "Truth or dare, Anthony?". Anthony answers with a big smile." Dare, ya know me". Daveeds grins even wider." I dare you to strip down to your underwear and run a block around the building, while singing baby it's cold outside". Yasmine starts giggling at the thought of her boyfriend having to do that. "Aww come on man, its freezing outside". Anthony says. "Well then you better run fast". Leslie says. Everybody starts saying that he has to do it or else he loses. "All right, all right, I'll do it. But Ya know I'm going to remember this Daveed". Everybody starts cheering again when Anthony starts to strip down and runs outside.

When he comes back Yazzy starts to look at him with a 'questionable' look on her face. "So uhm, I am going to go get dressed, ya know". He says walking towards his changing room. "Yeah, I'm going to go to, kinda boring". Yazzy says while walking after Anthony. Well, they are fucking I say to myself. Apparently, Groff was thinking the same thing, because he leans in. "So, do you think they are fucking?" I answer with a giggle. "Yeah of course. I mean Jazzy said it was boring, that was an obvious lie.

"All right, so who goes next?" Pippa asks. "I'll go" Chris answers. "All right, Groff truth or dare?". "Dare" he answers timidly, but with a small smile. "Sing a love song to Lin". I see him visibly swallow, before answering. Pippa and Renee look kinda sad and anxious, weird. I think to myself. "All right". Groff starts singing 'Chasing pavements' to me. God his voice is angelic. At first, he was looking at the ground avoiding eye contact, but now his cool blue ocean eyes look me in the eye. Deep enough that they could be the ocean, full of mysteries and beautiful waves. Near the end of the song his eyes start tearing up and I can't help but tear up too. I wonder if he is thinking about his crush while singing this. God, I wish I was his crush. Okay I can't stop lying to myself anymore, I am definitely not straight, I think. While still staring into his eyes. The song ends and we quickly wipe away our tears before the rest sees it.

Groff clears his throat. "Truth or dare, Renee" Renee looks a bit anxious. Those two tell each other nearly everything, so Groff must have something juicy. "Truth" Renee answers. Jonathan gets a grin on his face, that was obviously the answer he was looking for. "Sooo, when we were at that bar and you went to the bathroom for like 30 minutes, were you fucking the barman?" Everybody's jaw dropped. "Whaaatttttttt" Daveed says. "What you guys didn't notice they were both gone for so long" Groff says while still grinning. "Uhmmm noo" I answer. Everybody starts arguing. "Yeah" Renee blurts out. "Who cares anyways" she says, but the shade of her head says she does care. Everybody starts laughing. "Wow, I didn't know you had that in you". Oak says to Renee. Renee pushes him away, laughing now to. "All right come on guys, it's my turn now".

"Lin, Truth or dare". I instantly look up at her, getting a bit nervous. "Truth" I answer. I can't risk a dare, what if she says take of your clothes, then everybody will see my cuts. "So, what's been bothering you lately, I know it isn't Vanessa, because its different than that". Oh my god, do you think she know I have crush on Groff. I feel my cheeks reddening while I'm searching for the right answer. "Uhm I Uh-" I stammer a bit before taking a deep breath. "Honestly, lately I've been questioning my sexuality, I think that I might be Bi" I say in one breath. Pipa starts squealing a bit and Renee gives Groff a very weird look. I feel Groff next to me breathing very quickly and making a few noises. What if everybody thinks I am weird, I mean I think they will be supportive right? I mean Thayne and Groff are both gay. "All right, that's cool" Daveed says. Others start to say things too, Chris says" it's all right brother, you're my family" and gives me a hug. I get a few shoulder pats and then the game is back on.
