Perfect

Groff's pov

"Come on Lin let's go". I shout from the living room. "Yeah, I'm coming". Lin comes slowly walking in. "Why are you having trouble walking Linny?". I tease innocently, as Lin comes to a halt next to me. "Ha ha ha" he mutters. I giggle and take his hand to pull him with me to the theatre.

Daveed thinks we have an ham4ham l today, but in reality, Oak is going to propose to him. Lin is going to say that he wants them to do 'Helpless', because Pippa is "sick", and Lin isn't in the "mood" to get fake married today. I am already laughing my ass off at the thought of Oak in that way too small blue dress, kneeling down to propose to Daveed.

We arrive at Richard Rodgers theatre and Oak is already there, very nervous. "What if he thinks it's a stupid way to propose to him". He mutters, pacing around the room. "What if he says no. He thinks it's too soon. His parents don't support him". Oak worries some more. I stop him from walking around endlessly "Oak relax, you'll be just fine". I reassure him I shoot Lin a look saying, 'back me up here'. "Yeah, uhum he will totally be into it, trust me". He says trying to sound as convincing as possible. Oak mutters something under his breathes about Pippa and leaves our dressing room.

I turn around to face Lin "They're so cute don't you think?". Lin nods enthusiastically, still standing up. I sit down on the bed, gesturing for Lin to come sit on my lap. Lin walks over and gently lowers himself on to my lap. I see his face wince a bit, which is super sad. "Awwww my poor Linny" I whisper. It was a bit icy and he was a bit too enthusiastic to get coffee so he fell on his ass yesterday and now it's all bruised. I start giving his face a lot of kisses. "I am alright, thanks baby" he says kissing me back when I get to his lips. We sit there making out a bit, until Pippa walks in. I throw Lin off my lap and act super casual. Lin starts whistling and looks away. "Smooth guys, anyways come on we're going to start in half an hour, so get in your costumes. And no monkey business" she states, a playful look on her face. "All right we'll try" I reply, a childish look on my face.

After 20 minutes of flirting, we finally get in our costumes. We walk towards the stage, where Oak is already standing in the blue dress. "You look awesome" I remark. (Idk why but I had a dream last night that one of my friends had a blue dress on and he looked fiireeee). Daveed walks on the stage in a way too small Hamilton costume. "Alright everybody ready" Lin shouts.

Everybody cheers and gets in position. Thayne gets out his phone and starts filming. The music starts playing and everybody starts singing and dancing. I get very close to Oak like three times and mouth you got this. He looks very nervous and he is sweating bullets. Finally, we get to the wedding scene and when they are about to kiss during the wedding scene Oak gets on one knee. Daveed's jaw is basically on the ground and everybody starts singing way less loud so we can hear what they're saying. "Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me". Oak says holding up a simple silver ring, I can see the tears in his eyes from here.

Daveed stands there for a few seconds, still in shock. Then his eyes start tearing up "Yes of course Yes" he basically shouts. Everybody stops singing and starts cheering when Oak gets up from the ground and kisses Daveed. I run off stage and get the champagne we had ready. "Congratulations" I shout, giving Oak and Daveed the bottle. They pop the bottle and kiss again.

I look at Lin, feeling my heart skip a beat. He smiles softly "LETS PARTY" I hear Chris shout. We put on some music and start dancing on stage. We order pizza and party until it's the evening. "We got to go, we hired the babysitter till nine". I say, giving Oak and Daveed a hug. "Congratulations again". Lin and I say while walking off.

We walk home hand in hand. "That was so romantic don't you think?" I ask Lin giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I guess" he replies. "I guess? That was perfect" I giggle, squeezing his hand. "When I propose to you. It will be perfect" He says sweetly, stopping to kiss me.
