Harry's pov
I was in the common room with y/n just cuddling by the fire. I had my dementor defense training thing in 5 minutes. "Princess? I have my dementor defense in a couple minutes," I whispered in her ear. "Do you want me to come?" she asked softly. "Only if you want to," I replied just as softly. I had my hands around her waist while she had hers on my chest. She looked up at me and I pecked her on the lips. She smiled and nodded her head. "Ready to go?" she asked me. We got out of our comfortable positions so we could stand up. I grabbed her waist and we teleported to Professor Lupin's office.
"I wasn't expecting Ms. Gryffindor to be joining us," Professor Lupin said. "Really, Lupin? We're on last name basis?" y/n joked. Professor Lupin chuckled slightly before turning back to me. "I am going to be teaching you the patronus charm. Have you heard of it before?" Professor Lupin asked me. "No, sir," I answered. "The patronus charm acts like a shield. You need to think of the happiest memory you have. It'll go into the shield and the dementors will feed on that instead," y/n explained. "Close your eyes. Pronounce, 'Expecto Patronum' without a wand first," Professor Lupin instructed. "Expecto Patronum," I breathed. "Very good, Harry!" "Oh so he gets called by his first name and I don't? That's just cold!" y/n exclaimed dramatically at Lupin. He chuckled lightly before turning his attention to me again.
"Now, Harry, think of the happiest memory you have," Lupin instructed. I thought of when n/n and I were together. I was so happy and all my worries of the world melted away. That should be strong enough. I was wrong. Lupin opened a chest and out came a dementor. "Expecto Patronum! Expecto...expect...ex," I trailed off, feeling faint. I don't know why I still hear the screaming. I know my mom is safe at home. Everything went black. "Come on now! Up, up! Now I wasn't expecting you to get it on your first try, that would've been remarkable!" Lupin explained while handing me a piece of chocolate. "That was one nasty dementor," I muttered. "That was no dementor, Harry. That was a boggart! The real thing would be much worse," Lupin explained while I ate the chocolate. "What memory did you choose, Harry?" Lupin asked curiously. "The first time I rode a broomstick," I lied. Even though I was in a relationship with Little Red, it felt a little personal. Speaking of Little Red where is she? "Professor? Where's Li- y/n?" "Dumbledore needed to talk to her in his office," he answered.
"Back to your memory! That's not nearly strong enough!" Lupin exaggerated his arm movements up into the air. "Well, there is one. It sounds quite silly and it's not really a memory. More like a fantasy," I explained finding interest in a candle. "Is it strong?" he questioned. I nodded. "Ready?" "Ready." Lupin opened the trunk again. "Expecto patronum! Expecto Patronum!" I recited. A blue wisp escaped from the tip of my wand and the dementor slowly cowered downward into the trunk. While I was trapping the dementor, Lupin congratulated me and handed me a piece of chocolate. "I think I've had enough....for today I mean," I added quickly. I sat down on the step, Lupin lowering himself on the step beside me. "If you don't mind me asking, what memory, or fantasy, did you think of this time?" Lupin asked me.
"I thought of y/n, my parents, her mom, and I in one house as one big family. Y/n in my arms and our parents laughing and conversing with us," I sighed. "You really love her, don't you?" Lupin asked me, also sighing at the thought. "I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world." I wasn't lying when I said that either. I love y/n with all my heart. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I will love her forever and always.

y/n's pov
"Thank you for agreeing to meet me in my office, Ms. Gryffindor," Dumbledore started. "I believe you are aware of the events that will be placed next year?" I nodded my head. "Very good. I need you to build a unity with each school. You will be the Hogwarts ambassador. Therefore, you will be spending a month at each school before returning. This is to your great advantage Ms. Gryffindor, for you may be able to make friendships for a lifetime," Dumbledore continued. "If you agree to this arrangement, I will send owls to the headmaster and headmistress. You will be leaving tomorrow, your choice of transportation, but I would prefer if you would teleport." I nodded once again. "I would love to make a unity between Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang! I believe this will help the upcoming war we've been discussing recently," I responded with a smile on my face. "Very well. You will be in the fifth year classes. I would like you to become friendly with them seeing as next year, they will be of age. You may leave and pack. Good luck, Ms. Gryffindor!" Dumbledore dismissed me. Now how am I supposed to tell my best friends? How am I supposed to tell Harry?
I was walking back to the Gryffindor common room when I heard something shuffling. I didn't see anything so I used a revealing charm. Still nothing, which meant it wasn't Harry under his invisibility cloak. All of the sudden a hand grabs me and tries to drag me down the hall. It came to me as a surprise at first, so the person was able to drag me a couple feet before I kneed them in the stomach. They groaned in pain and let go of my wrist. I used the wind to secure whoever it was in the air. White hair. Malfoy. "What the fuck, Malfoy!" I yelled. I didn't really notice that I was making a scene until I heard a few gasps. "Professor! She's got me hostage! For no reason!" Malfoy whined to McGonagall. "I'll make a reason for you to cry you white bitch!" I snarled. I heard a couple of amused chuckles and McGonagall looked pleased. I set down the whining ferret and continued my journey to my dorm. I walked a few steps before I felt paint splash on my head. Thankfully, everyone had dispersed so no one saw. Except Fred and George who probably set this up. I rolled my eyes and glared at them. I muttered a spell to clean myself up before I heard some knocking from the broom closet. Curiosity got the better of me and I opened up the closet. Inside was my boyfriend with a bloody nose.
"What happened?" I asked him. "Malfoy. He said he was going to do the same to you if I didn't lay off," he explained. I touched his shoulder and teleported us to the hospital wing where Madame Pomfrey fixed him up. Once Pomfrey cleared him, I teleported back to the common room where Hermione was reading and Ron was, well, being Ron. "Since you all are here, I might as well tell you now," I decided out loud. "Tell us what?" Harry asked. "I'll be gone for the next 2 months to help arrange a few things for Dumbledore. I'm leaving tomorrow. I'll be back before Bucky's execution," I told them, my voice cracked at the mention of Bucky. Ron and Hermione nodded solemnly while Harry just sat there like he was frozen. "Why? I want you to be with me. My parents had to go home and leave me here! Why do you have to too?" his voice cracking. "Harry. The wizarding world may depend on it, seeing where this Voldemort thing is going. It's only a matter of time before he comes back and all hell breaks loose," I told him cradling his head. He sighed and nodded slightly. "On one condition," he started, "write to me every week at least once." I nodded before leaving to my dorm to pack.
