Y/n's pov

I was watching as the boys play wizards chess while mulling over Nicholas Flamel. Again. Who could he be? "That's totally barbaric!" Hermione snapped me out of my thoughts. Apparently Ron's queen demolished Harry's knight. "That's wizards' chess," Ron responded. "I see you've packed-" "-I see you haven't," Hermione cut Ron off. "Change of plans. My parents are going to Romainia to visit Charlie. He works with dragons there!" Ron said quite proud of himself. "Then, you can help Harry and y/n, in the library, find information about Nicholas Flamel," she stated. She turned to leave when Ron started whining. "But we've checked the library 100 times already!" He threw his hands up in the air with exasperation. "Not in the restricted section. Happy Christmas," Hermione suggested quietly. "I think we're a bad influence on her," Ron looked at me and pointed. "Especially that one." I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Harry! Y/n! Wake up! It's Christmas!" Ron yelled. I think Ron tried running upstairs because all you could hear was Ron tumbling down the stair slide. I rolled myself out of bed and groggily went downstairs. "What do you want?" I said in a very demanding tone. "Well good morning to you too," Harry greeted coming downstairs. "Whatever," I replied. Let's just say I'm not the best person to wake up in the morning. Especially if I stay up until 4 in the morning reading a Hogwarts book in hopes of finding Nicholas Flamel. "What are you wearing Ron?" Harry was gazing at maroon sweater with a big "R" on the front. "Oh, my mum made it. Looks like you've got one too!" Ron pointed at 2 mushy bags that were signed to me and Harry. "I've got presents?" Harry asked. "You act like you've never gotten presents before," I say kind of offended. "If you don't remember, y/n, Harry's family treated him like crap, so obviously he wouldn't get presents," Ron explained. "You don't think I know that? I grew up with him remember? I would give him presents! Doesn't look like he appreciated them though," I cross my arms and march away.

"Wait! Where are you going? I didn't mean to make you upset!" Ron hollered to me. "Wake me up at noon! I was up at 4 in the morning reading. I'm still trying to find out about Nicholas Flamel!" I responded and face planted onto my cloud like bed. (a/n I'm normally a late sleeper so this matches up with my sleep cycle)

Harry's pov

As y/n left the room I felt slightly guilty but I knew she was just grumpy from being sleep deprived. "Even when she's tired she's sarcastic," I comment. Ron nods his head in agreement. I look to my left and right to see wrapping paper everywhere. I roll my eyes and get the presents that I can find and start ripping it open. I opened Hermione's first. She gave me a book called Quidditch Teams of Britain and Ireland. I'll be reading that a little bit later. I opened my present from Ron and he got me a bag of Dung bombs. I don't know what he expects me to do with them. I opened the present from Mrs. Weasley. She made me a dark blue sweater with an "H" in the middle. She also made fudge which I happily ate.

I saw two more packages. One from y/n and one from someone else. "What is that?" Ron asked once I tore open the package. "I don't know. Some sort of cloak," my eyes were fixated on the strange cloak. "Look there's a note!" Ron pointed out. Your father left this in my possession before he died. It is time it is returned to you. Use it well. "Well? Who's it from?" Ron asked trying to read the note over my shoulder. "I don't know. They didn't sign it. It just says, 'Use it well'. I'll have to ask y/n and Hermione about this later. Maybe they can figure it out," I replied still admiring the silky cloth in my hands. "Put it on then! Let's see what it does," Ron gestured me to stand up. I pulled the cloak on my shoulders. It was slightly big and it fell to the ground over my body. Wait, where is my body? "I know what that is!" Ron gasped. "That's an invisibility cloak!" I looked down again and I still couldn't see my body. "I'm invisible?" I'm still not convinced that I could possess something like this. I can barely process the fact that I'm at a magic school. "Yeah! Those are really rare," Ron kept praising the cloak but I tuned him out eyes set on y/n's present. It was small but I was really excited to open it. I set the cloak on my lap while I opened y/n's gift. It was a small tub of broom wax and a small booklet of how to use it.
