(a/n I don't like the Chamber of Secrets book much so there is a pretty big gap. Sorry! Also long chapter)

y/n's pov

"I know this probably pointless because you're in a coma, but please wake up. We need you. We need your bravery. Hermione's been petrified, and we need someone smart to help figure out this Chamber of Secrets nonsense. Y/n please. I need you," Harry's voice rang. "Aww what a sweet monologue," I said. "Y/n! You're awake!" Harry jumped up with joy. "Ok now fill me in," I told Harry. He told me about how there have been attacks around the school, but no one has been killed yet. Only petrified. He said spiders are terrified of it and everyone who was petrified had some sort of reflection device on them. He told me how he was a parselmouth and he can hear voices coming from the walls before an attack. "A Basilisk," I breathed. "A what?" Harry asked bewildered. "After telling you that you say a breakfast?" Harry asked. I snorted. "No, Harry. A basilisk. I remember reading about them because I love to study about animals and when I'm bored I read-" "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Ok I get it. You read about animals. Get to the point!" Harry cut me off. "Anyways, a basilisk is one of the most deadly creatures in the world. If you look at it directly in it's eyes you die instantly. If you look at it's eye's reflection then you must get petrified. Spiders are terrified of it so they stay away at all costs. And the reason you can hear it through the walls is because it must be traveling through the pipes!" I explained.

Harry nodded astonished and we went to tell Ron. "And where do you think you're going Ms. Gryffindor? At least let me give you a quick check up before you leave," Madame Pomfrey stopped us. I nodded and told Harry to find Ron and bring him to me. Once my check up was done Harry and Ron were with me. We reviewed my theory about the basilisk and Ron agreed. We found out Ginny was taken by the basilisk somehow. Poor Ginny. We were on our way to see Lockhart because he was going to try to enter the Chamber of Secrets so he mine as well know some information. We go to his office to see him packing. "Uhh, going somewhere?" I asked. "Emergency from the Ministry. It can't wait. Got to go," he responded hurriedly. "But what about my sister!" me and Ron yelled at the same time. "Your sister?" Harry questioned. "Maybe not by blood but mentally!" I shouted back. We really don't have time for this.

"No one regrets more than I," Lockhart says. "But, all the things you did in your books!" Harry tried. "Books can be misleading," Lockhart stated. "You wrote them," Harry remarked anger in his tone. "Dear Godric, don't you use your common sense boy? My books wouldn't have sold half as well if people didn't think I'd done them!" Lockhart shouted. "I knew it! You owe me 30 galleons. I swear I think I'm a seer!" I exclaimed. "Not now!" Harry said through gritted teeth. "Well do you know how to do anything?" I asked. "Wait. Let me guess. The memory charm?" I continued. "Yes! As a matter of fact, I'm going to have to do the same to you," Lockhart threatened reaching for his wand. I was too quick. "Expelliarmus. Accio Lockhart's wand," I recited my spells and collected Lockhart's wand. The boys pointed their wands at the professor and ordered him to come with us.

The boys think we should go to the girls' bathroom to talk to Moaning Myrtle, a good friend of mine, about her death. "Hello Harry! What do you want?" she asked. "I wanted to ask how you died," Harry said probably trying not to sound offensive. "Oh it was dreadful. I was crying in this very stall because a boy decided to make fun of my glasses. I heard someone come in and started talking. It sounded like a made up language. I came out of the stall to tell the person to 'Go away' and then I died," Myrtle explained. "What was the last thing you saw, Myrtle?" I asked her. "Hello y/n! I didn't see you there! I'm glad your out of your coma. I gave that professor a stern talking to!" Myrtle exclaimed angrily. "Thank you Myrtle, but can you answer the question please?" I asked her again. "Mhm. The last thing I saw were a pair of big yellow eyes from that sink over there," she pointed at the sink that never worked. That's the entry to the Chamber of Secrets.

"Look! There's a snake. This is it! The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets!" I exclaimed. "Go on Harry! Say something! In parseltongue," Ron encouraged. Harry hissed and the sink started to form into a tunnel going straight down. "Ah well. Looks like you don't need me anymore," Lockhart said and tried to make a run for it. Harry and Ron held him back. "You'll go first," I told him. "What good'll that do?" he asked visibly frightened. "Better you than us," Harry responded. "But- well yes that's true, but don't-" I pushed Lockhart in before he could say anything else. "It sure is filthy down here!" Lockhart's voice echoed through the entrance. "Oh Harry. If you die down there, you're welcome to share my toilet," Myrtle offered. I stifled a laugh and turned it into a cough. "Thanks Myrtle," Harry returned.

I jumped in first, then Harry, then Ron. "Remember, if you see anything move close your eyes immediately," Harry reminded us. We passed a large snakeskin shed. "Woah! This thing must be over 60 feet!" Ron gawked. Just than there was a thump and I looked next to Ron where Lockhart lay there motionlessly. Just as I was about to say something, Lockhart jumped to his feet grasping Ron's broken wand. Why was his wand broken? I'll ask later. "I will tell everyone that I was too late to save the poor girl and take some snakeskin as proof. I'll tell everyone how you were driven mad at the sight of her mangled body," Lockhart explained his plan. What is it with villains and plan explaining? Are they trying to impress people or something? "But first I have to erase your memory. Starting with you!" Lockhart pointed Ron's wand at Harry. "Obliviate!" he recited but the spell backfired and hit him. Thank goodness for Ron's broken wand. He was now completely clueless about everything. Suddenly there was rumbling and Harry covered me and some rocks separated us from Ron. "Harry! Are you ok?" I asked and kissed the top of his head. He blushed crimson and nodded. "RON! Ron, are you ok?" I asked. "Yeah! Lockhart doesn't know who he is though!" he yelled back. I heard a thud. "Did you just knock him out?" I asked. "Maybe," he responded. "Good for you!" I yelled back.

"Ron you start moving these rocks out of the way while me and y/n find Ginny!" Harry yelled. A grunt of approval was heard so me and Harry were off. He hissed at a door with seven snakes on it. It opened up and I could see Ginny's beautiful flaming red hair from the entry. I sprinted towards her and looked at the book in her hands. Tom Marvalo Riddle. Voldemort. Come on! Harry was now also on his knees next to me looming over Ginny. "Tom you've gotta help me!" Harry spoke desperately. "Harry! Stop asking this guy for help. He's not who you think he is!" I hissed at him. He ignored me. "I'm afraid I can't do that. And you. The descendant of Gryffindor and Hades. What a terrible combination," Voldy told me. "That's rich coming from someone who couldn't kill a baby, Tom. Or should I say Moldy Voldy," I spoke. "How dare you speak to me like that!" Voldemort took a sharpened rock and slammed into my forehead. I had enough power to teleport to the hospital wing, but after that I was out cold.
