y/n's pov
Today is quidditch day. Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff. It was originally supposed to be Gryffindor vs. Slytherin, but since their seeker is 'injured' they had Hufflepuff play in their place. It was pouring outside with the occasional strikes of lightning and thunder. I was terrified for Harry. I was terrified for all of the quidditch players. I was running to the boys' locker room. As much trouble I'd be in if I was caught was the last thing on my mind. I needed to see Harry. Once I entered most of the boys were already dressed. Most. Meaning some still had to put their shirt on, but I pushed forward. I found Harry, also, shirtless, but I didn't care.
"Harry if you die, I'll bring you back to life and kill you again! Good luck babe! Your parents say good luck too. I'll tell you after the game," I murmured the last part. There were a couple of chuckles heard throughout the locker room. Harry gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek before letting me go. "Good luck Gryffindors. The same threat includes you too!" I said before running out of the locker room. If you're wondering why I didn't teleport it's because I have a bad feeling about this game. A really bad feeling. So I need a lot of energy if anything goes wrong.
Once I arrived back to the stands I looked for Ron and Hermione. "Y/N! OVER HERE!" I heard Ron scream. I saw them near Hagrid as usual so I started to make my way towards them. "Why didn't you just teleport?" Hermione asked, concern lacing her voice. "I have a bad feeling about this game, so I might need the energy," I explained. She nodded understandingly. For the next half hour I was just standing in the rain, shivering. I couldn't hear or see anything so it was slightly boring. I heard a whistle which indicated someone called for a time out. I rushed to the Gryffindor side and ran up to Harry.
"Harry? Can you see okay?" I asked. "Without my glasses not real-" "Not what I meant! With the rain. Are you able to see?" I cut him off. "Not really, but there's nothing I can do about it!" he exclaimed. "Impervius," I muttered making the water clear up from his glasses. "Wow, thanks Little Red!" Harry shouted over the winds. "Oh, y/n, thank you so much! We have a great advantage now! I could kiss you!" Oliver sounded quite desperate to win. "Watch it, Wood!" I heard Harry say. I kissed his cheek, letting him know I loved him, not Wood, and left for the stands again.
"What'd you do? I heard Oliver wanted to kiss you!" Hermione shouted over the wind. "Man! News travels fast around here! I made Harry's glasses water repellent!" I shouted back. She nodded her head in approval and Ron looked downright dumbstruck. I laughed a little to myself eyes back to the sky. The sky was getting darker and darker and was....moving? Dementors. I looked for Harry and saw his figure falling. Falling a hundred feet. I used my energy and sent Opal, my wind dragon, to stop his fall. Opal was fast enough to catch him and lay him onto a stretcher. Everyone gasped as they saw my marvelous creature saving the boy who lived. The boy is a death magnet. I swear! I was running from the stands to help send back the dementors. Once I reached the ground I was met with Dumbledore muttering to himself. "I'll get these creatures! You go worry about the students and teachers!" I shouted. Dumbledore nodded and I sent my patronus flying, making all the dementors fly away and back to there posts.
Harry's pov
It was raining lightly and me and y/n were swaying back and forth in each others embrace. She was playing with my wet hair and looking into my eyes. "Looks a bit peaky," I was broken out of my dream by none other than my best mate, Ron. "What do you expect? He fell over 100 feet!" one of the Weasley twins said. "Yeah, let's walk you off the Astronomy tower, see what you look like," the other twin continued. "Probably a right side better than he normally does," I teased. That's what he gets for waking me up.
"You alright there mate?" Fred asked me. "You gave us all a good scare," George continued. "What happened?" I asked, my voice a bit gruff from just waking up. "You fell off your broom," Ron replied. "Oh really? I meant the match," I clarified. Everyone shifted uncomfortably until Mione spoke up. "No one blames you, Harry. The dementors aren't supposed to come into the grounds. Dumbledore and y/n were furious. Once y/n saved you she sent them off. Right now she's having a row with the minister." "Quite entertaining I must add," Fred added. I noticed that Wood wasn't there so I decided to ask. "Where's Wood? He's not mad is he?" I asked slightly nervous of the answer. "No. He's still in the shower's probably trying to drown himself," George joked.
"Honestly, Fred! Stop trying to scare him! He just woke up from an one hundred foot fall!" exclaimed a voice I didn't know I wanted to hear so badly until I heard it. "What happened with the minister?" Ron asked. "Let's just say I'm suspended from being in the same room as him for a while," y/n trailed off. She turned around saw a bundle of blue towels. "What's this?" she asked. Ron looked at her warily as if trying to tell her with the eyes. Oh wait! Mind reading. Her eyes widened and nodded. "Umm...Harry? When you fell off your broom, it kinda made a detour to the Whomping Willow," she spoke softly and slowly. She opened the bundle and there it was. My Nimbus 2000 in shreds. I felt heartbroken. I know it's only a broom, but it's my first broom ever. I felt a gentle hand on mine and I looked away from the bundle of splinters. I saw y/n smiling softly at me, knowing that if that were her broom, she'd feel the same way.
People started to clear out. The only person who stayed was y/n, but I'm pretty sure that Ron and Hermione knew we wanted to be alone so they left too. I sat up on my bed and just stared into y/n's never ending e/c eyes. I started to lean in and so did she. It wasn't until we were about an inch away when she stopped and inhaled sharply. I looked at her concerned and embarrassed. "I'm sorry," she apologized. For what I'm not sure. "Harry, I need to tell you something," she looked worried so I gestured for her to continue. "You know how I said your parents wished you luck?" I nodded. I remembered being very confused. "Well...I can see the dead," she whispered, almost inaudible. "Wait...so you can see my parents?" I asked slightly excited. She nodded. "That's why I couldn't kiss you and why I apologized to what seemed like no one. Your dad is one complicated person," she sighed. Her eyes shifted slightly next to me and she glared. "Your dad can also be very dramatic sometimes," her eyes softened and she let out a breathy laugh. "So, my dad is sitting next to me?" I asked timidly. She nodded happily. I smiled really happy that I was able to communicate with my parents somehow.

"I'm sorry to hear about your broomstick. Is there absolutely no way to repair it?" Professor Lupin asked. I shook my head solemnly. Y/n rubbed my knuckles with her thumb comfortingly. "Sir? Why do dementors effect me so much?" I had been wondering about this question since the first time I encountered one. "You have a horror that no one else can relate too. You aren't weak, Harry, if that's what you're thinking," y/n answered. "You are quite the opposite actually," she finished. "I'm scared, professor," I admitted. "I'd consider you a fool if you weren't!" Professor Lupin exclaimed. "I need to learn how to defend myself. Y/n? Could you teach me? You made all the dementors at the quidditch match go away," I recounted. "I'm not very good at teaching. I learned most of my stuff from Remmy," she gestured to Professor Lupin. "Professor?" I pleaded. "Very well. But after the break. For now I need rest," he replied. Hopefully this won't be too hard.
