ーSTANDING on one of the roofs,
you looked through the night's fog. You were currently dreading the task you were given. And that task was to assassinate the sixth of the eleven Fatui Harbingers, Scaramouche. From the profile your boss gave you, he was short, wears traditional Japanese or Chinese wear, he's disliked by his fellow members, dark nay blue hair, blah blah blah...
And the profile just keeps going on. Might as well write a damn essay about the guy, jeez. Bringing yourself out of your thoughts, you analyzed your current surroundings in Liyue. You were originally supposed to be going to Snezhnaya for the assassination, but plans changed along the way. An informant let you know he was currently in Liyue, so that's where you're currently at!

Reading your bow, you were still on the lookout for Balladeer. Heart pumping in your chest, killing a Fatui Harbinger was never on your list. But, your boss was paying good Mora, so you accepted. Your eyes looking down below, you spotted a person with a large hat with four hooks and a mask at the centre. Knowing that was your man from the profile, you readied your bow. Drawing the arrow on the string back as much as you could, you saw an open spot. So, you shot him, but you missed.
Fucking hell...
Jumping to other roofs just to get closer, you jumped down a few feet behind him. Taking out a dagger, you decided to combine it with your Hydro elemental burst. Softly running towards Balladeer, you swiftly stabbed at his neck. But before you can stab him, he already unhanded you.
"Who the fuck are you?"
"Well, seems like they weren't wrong when they said that it seems like you have a stick up your ass."
"Excuse me?!"
Snickering at Balladeer's reaction, it just made him flustered. Just before you can tease the man, someone else came out slowly clapping. Ah, it was your boss, Tarta--Childe. Childe pulled Balladeer by his hat. As he pulled him, he turned to you.
"Ojou-chan~ I knew you would fail!"
You looked at him in shock. "Pardon?"
"I said, I knew you would fail."
A few minutes passed in silence, well, that was until Balladeer yelled.
"OI, ASSHOLE, YOU SENT SOME IDIOT TO ASSASSINATE ME?!"
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN BY 'IDIOT' SHORTIE?!"
"SHORTIE?! IS THAT THE BEST YOU GOT??"
"Come on guys, let's all get along~"
At this point, you were both at each other's throats... Childe sighed.
"Why don't you both introduce yourselves?~"
"HAH?!"
"Yeah, no thanks-"
"Do it."
You both grumbled in dissatisfaction. You stuck out your hand so he could shake it. He just looked at your hand as if it some sort of alien species.
"Shake my hand, and since I'm such a nice person, I'll introduce myself."
"Nice person? I don't think so."
"Just shake my hand!!"
"Fine.."
So you both shook hands. "The name's y/n, the person who failed to assassinate you!~ Also, Childe-"
"Yeah, yeah. Here's the Mora."
"Thanks!! I thought I would've gone broke!!"
"*sigh* I'm--"
"Oh, I already know who you are!~ Scaramouche, alias Balladeer, no. 6 of the eleven Fatui Harbingers!!"

About a year later, you were walking down the same street Scaramouche unhanded you at. Gleefully walking through the street, you thought about the things you could do for the day.
Ah, I could go and bother Scaramouche!! But, he isn't supposed to be back from Snezhnaya in 2 more days...
Skipping towards Luhua Pool for 15 minutes, you saw an all-too-recognizable hat! Sneaking up on Scaramouche, you were ready to tackle him. Slinging your arms lazily around his shoulders, you rubbed your cheek against his. You stifled a laugh as you felt his face become warm.
"Uwah, Mouche!! I missed you!! How'd the assignment go?"
"It went well, y/n."
"Mouche?"
"Hm."
"How do you look like without your hat on?"
"Well, I rarely take it off. Don't even think-"
"Oya!! Mouche, you look so cute!!" You gushed for your dark-haired friend ya sure you guys are friends ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
"Y/N, WHAT THE HELL-- STOP GIGGLING, IDIOT!!"
