defeated sigh, you crossed your arms. Looking at the Xingqiu who was sitting across from you, reading a Keltic scripture, you straightened your back. His golden amber eyes meeting yours as he softly smiled at you.
Light hues of pink now scattered across your face, you coughed into your fist.

Shifting in your place, you turned your head towards the window. Getting up, you went towards the stereo you had in your room. Taking out the Pocket Park album your mom owned, you slid it into the compartment. Hearing the song your mom always played around the house, it brought back comforting memories. Faintly hearing the intro come up, you mouthed the words.

Unbeknownst to you, Xingqiu was looking at you with a small smile on his face. Sir, please stop, my heart-- ugh. Just seeing you act a bit not like yourself, it made his heart feel warm. His earring swayed as he got up, and him getting up brought you out of your thoughts. Hearing the music's chorus flood into the background, you turned the knob to raise the volume.

Grabbing a comb, you used it as if it were a microphone. Exaggerating your gestures, you pointed your "microphone" towards Xingqiu, who was lightly laughing. Taking the comb from your hands, he sang along with you.

Bursting out into a giggling fit, you both fell on top of each other.
Hearing the song slowly come to an end, you went to take the disc out. Putting it back into the case, you placed it back onto the shelf in your room. Sitting back down beside Xingqiu, you turned towards him while sticking your pinky out.
"Xingqiu, promise me something."
"What is it?"
"Promise me that you'll stop eating my delicacy parcels. Those were my last ones." You comically sobbed, as well as jokingly.
"Eh? Sorry, I couldn't help myself."
Chuckling for a bit, you both now sat in silence. Both in your thoughts. Suddenly being pulled out of them, you thought of something.
Tugging on Xingqiu's hand, you started to lead him out the door. Ushering him to put on his shoes, you went out the door.

Walking towards the nearest bookstore, you continued to tug on Xingqiu's hand. Walking into the warm atmosphere, you let go of his hand and instantly went to the History section and Xingqiu in tow.
Scanning the section for a while, you finally found the book you were looking for. Going up to the elderly woman at the counter, you passed her the book.
Waiting for her to ring up the price, you saw Xingqiu looking over some books that were in a nearby pile. You then turned towards the woman as she handed you the book and receipt. Calling out to Xingqiu, you both started to leave.
"I'm glad you and your boyfriend found what you were looking for." The elderly woman said with a tender smile on her face. And before you could say anything, Xingiu already responded.
"Thank you, ma'am."
Once you two were out, you lightly slapped his shoulder.
"Oi, Xingqiu, what was that for?"
"Whatever do you mean? I was just being polite, plus, you aren't denying what she said."
Now with pink hues dusting over your cheeks, you let out a 'tch'.
