Undecided|| Vallyk or Derek??

Chapter 15

Luckily it's the weekend, So Kiki's at work all day. I just have to get my act together by Sunday so she can't tell somethings wrong. Kiki's already left for work so it's clear for me to go downstairs.

I go downstairs looking for food. I open the fridge to find nothing that quenches my hunger. I guess I'll just do to the diner and pick up some food, I've been craving their food anyways. I hop into my car and drive the 10 minutes it takes to get there. The familiar bell chimes as I open the door. To my surprise Kobe and Mike turn to me and our eyes meet. I slowly approach, they probably hate me too cuz of what happened.

Y: hey guys..

M&K: hey!

K: it's been a while

That's weird. They don't seem mad. In fact they seem happy to see me. They both gesture me to come sit with them at the booth

Y: so.. how come you guys are here alone

M: Vallyk and Derek have been kind of distant. Especially recently

Fuck!

K: Yea we thought giving them time would be the best option

I look down to my lap, knowing that I'm the reason for the change in both of them.

Y: ahem. If you guys don't mind I'm gonna go order and get out of here.

K: why don't you eat with us. We figured since Vallyk and Derek are being weird right now you must be alone too.

I think about I for a little, and yeah. It'd be nice not to be alone. I nod at them.

I order my food and join them at the booth again. It was really nice. We talked and ate, and it made me feel a lot better about what happened with me and Derek. And Vallyk. After hours of talking it's time for us to part ways and head home.

Y: thanks guys I had a really nice time

M: us too! Maybe soon we could do it again

Y: I'd like that

My lips spread into a wide smile. I hug my new acquaintances goodbye and head to my car. I don't want to go home just yet so I just drive around town, taking I all the details I never really paid attention to. Like the little cracks in the buildings and how the sun adds a little tint to the brick buildings. I drive and drive and drive taking in everything around me. I eventually head back home. I step into the house and the kitchen lights are on. Shit! I didn't know I was gone for that long, Aunt Kiki's already home. I hope to sneak past her and get upstairs but I'm caught red-handed.

K: y/n? I see you

I curse under my breath and turn back to face her. Aunt Kiki's the only person who can see through me; she'll know something is wrong.

K: where did you go

Y: I was at the diner with some friends

K: Vallyk?

Y: no.

K: Derek?

Y: no.

Kiki's face wrinkles in confusion.

K: who were you with

Y: just some friends

She stares at me for a couple seconds.

K: so.. what happened

Y: what do you mean

K: well you weren't with Vallyk or Derek and I haven't seen them in the past couple days which you spend a tremendous time with both so something must have happened

Y: well you were at work so-

K: don't even try lying to me

Y: I got into a fight with Derek, you happy. Just rub it in my face and tell me you were right

I close my eyes preparing myself for all the negative words shot at me. To my surprise, she doesn't say anything. I open my eyes and she's looking at me with a calm face. She reaches out at my arm and pulls me to the nearest couch.

K: come sit. Ok so what happens first of all

Y: well I tried to talk things over with Vallyk but that didn't work out clearly. And doing so I might've also messed up my relationship with Derek

K: how

Y: well I lied to Derek and didn't tell him I was seeing Vallyk. Cuz you know how guys are about boy best friends I thought he would be jealous or mad or something so I just decided not to tell him. Turns out that didn't to me any good cuz he found out anyway cuz he followed me home. And I met with him later that day to have dinner when he told me and I was already mad from what happened with Vallyk so I-

K: ok calm down

She pulls me into a hug. I was ranting for so long I didn't even realize that I'd started crying. I bury my face into Kiki's neck and let everything out. When I'm ready to talk she pulls back and looks me in the eye.

K: ok y/n no offense but everything that's happened is your fault

Y: what I sniffle

K: look you need to make it clear to both Vallyk and Derek what your relationship is. Because right now you have two confused teenage boys that like you, and it's worse because they are best friends.

Y: I already told you Vallyk doesn't like me like that

K: listen y/n, I've watched the both of you since you were diapers ok I can tell he likes you

Y: He has a girlfriend aunt Kiki!

K: well you don't know the full story. There could be more to it than you know. Look, all I'm saying is that you have to talk to them tell them how you feel and tell the what you want. So your gonna have to pick one of them... romantically at least.

Y: so I have to talk to the tell them I have feelings for both of them but just friendzone one of them

K: look I know it's tough but it's better that way. For all of you.

I nod. I get what she means and it's makes complete sense. But there's only one problem...

I have no idea who to choose.
