I get up to his window and see him kissing his ex Devyn !

I scurry down not wanting him to see me. I run home and tears fill my eyes. I get home and run up to my room. Why does it hurt so bad? I mean I knew I didn't have a chance with him. It's just that with all the people he could be with, he's with Devyn! She was rude to me AND him. I don't know why he's taking her back. I sit there crying until I fall asleep( who else falls asleep after they cry 😭) <those naps hit(continue)

I wake up to Vallyk opening my window, ugh.

V: you weren't answering my calls... now I know why haha

He sees that I don't laugh, or show any emotion for that matter so his smile fades

V: whats wrong

Y: ...

I couldn't keep all the feelings balled in so I just let it out

Y: i saw you with Devyn...

V: oh... let me explain-

Y: why are you with her again

V: she helped me through some stuff

This really hurt

Y:... you have me your best friend for that

V: you wouldn't understand

Y: ok then leave

V: Bella-

Y: pls just leave

Is he serious?? He chose to go to Devyn for help?

I go on social media and try to find the nearest party. To get my mind off what just happened. Its summer, so there's plenty and it won't be hard to find the address. I pull up to the party and once again there's a house packed with people and blasting music. When I walk in I notice a few people from school, don't want to talk to them though. I try to make my way through the house but get pulled into the swarm of people. Drunk teenagers are dancing all around me and shoving me every which way.

Out of nowhere I'm pulled out. I turn around to face my savior... it's Derek. Of course.

D: you following me around princess he says with his dumb smirk

Y: 1. This is my town and 2 don't call me that

D: ouch!

I roll my eyes and try to walk away from him but he follows

Y: Why are you following me?

D: you know you love me

I try to hold it back but I smile

D: See I make you smile

Y: don't flatter yourself, and where are Mike and Kobe

D: come on I'll bring you to them

He brings me to a bunch of people, both boys and girls sitting on a couch around a coffee table. Two of which are Kobe and Mike. I greet Mike and Kobe and wave the rest of the people. I'm lost in thought and not paying attention to what anyone's talking about until one of the blonde girls says

???- let's play a game

Y: what like cards

She looks at me like I'm dumb

???- what are you a resident? Let's play a party game. How about spin the bottle

The brunette chimes in

???- what about seven minutes in heaven?

Then the Black haired girl comments

???- why don't we do a mix of both

Everyone's down. I don't want to seem like a pu$$y so I just say yea. Derek goes first and spins the bottle. It lands in between me and the black haired girl. My eyes shoot over to Derek and he's looking back at me.
Blonde girl=BG

Bg: ooo a draw. I pickkk... you!

She points at me. Shit! Could this day get any worse

Y: uh yea no I think I'm good

Bg: aww you scared.

Y: no i just don't want to

Bg: come on don't ruin the party

Everyone at the table is staring at me

Y:.......fine

Bg:yay!

Derek doesn't really react he's just quiet. The blonde girl pushes us into the coat closet.

Me and Derek just sit there in silence until he breaks it

D: we don't have to kiss if you don't want to..unless-

Y: i dont.

D: geez fine. Will you at least answer my question

Y: what question

D: were you or were you not looking at me at the movies

Y:...

D: I'll take that as a yes

Y: i never said-

D: you don't have to

He steps closer to me

Y: what are you doing...

D: taking a chance

He leans in and our lips lock. So much for keeping my distance. Now I'm here kissing him. I should've stopped but his lips were so soft I kissed him back. After a couple seconds I pull away.

Y: um..

There's a knock at the door.

Bg: TIMES UP!

I get out of the closet without even looking back at Derek. The rest of the party is a blur. All I can think about is the kiss with Derek.
