Undecided|| Vallyk or Derek??

Chapter 27

I wake up to the sound of music coming from the kitchen. I quickly get ready and walk downstairs to see what's causing all the commotion.

I get downstairs and I can't help but giggle when I find Aunt Kiki dancing while cooking breakfast.

Y: what's going on

She shouts out because she didn't see me get downstairs which makes me laugh even more

K: oh.. When did you get downstairs?

Y: The real question is why are you dancing at 7am in the morning on a Monday?

K: To each their own. Now eat your breakfast and get out

I laugh under my breath and sit down with my plate. I eat my food then go to my car. I start my car then head to school.

I walk into the school and open my locker to get my things for first period when I spot Kenny in the hallway. I run to catch up to and tap on his shoulder. When he turns around to face me I just stare at him for a couple seconds not knowing where to start.

K: hey... something wrong?

Y: We need to talk. Somewhere more private.

K: okay.

Since we still have awhile before classes start we walk outside. My heart aches to tell him.

K: so what did you want to talk about?

At this moment he looked cute and confused which made it even harder for me to tell him.

Y: Look I-

K: please don't say it. I already know the deal, you don't like me and you just want to be friends.

Y: No! No, that's not it at all. I do like you, I just have really strong felling so for Vallyk and I just have a few things to figure out.

K: So your ending things with me because of Vallyk.

He says this with disgust in his voice.

Y: it's not like that.

K: really because what I see is that I've wanted to kiss you for a very long time and this guy threatens me not too, and now your telling me you like that guy?

Y: You wouldn't understand, we've been friends since we were in diapers.

K: really, cuz last time I checked you guys haven't been talking since last week.

Y: look im trying to be nice but your being a douche.

K: forget it, I'm going to class.

I let out a long sigh. Great, now I've just made things worse between us.

I head hangs low as I walk to class. But my mood turns upside down when I see Vallyk walk into the room.

V: Hey.

Y: hey.

V: So talking to Kenny didn't go well?

Y: how'd you know.

V: We've been friends forever y/n, I can read you like a book.

Y: Not making me feel better.

The rest of class Vallyk and I talk a little bit, starting to make it feel like old times. Our conversation flows much easier then it did the night before. My butterflies are going crazy in my stomach as I look into Vallyk's eyes and he looks into mine.

V: Y/n.. y/n...

I snap out of my thoughts.

Y: yeah?

V: Class is over are you coming?

Y: oh. Yea.

The next class was like my worst nightmare. I could feel the anger eminating from Kenny as he was sitting next to me in class. I wanted to talk to him really badly but I figured it would be best to give him some space. At lunch, I get curious on how Kobe and Mike are doing so I walk around the cafeteria to find them, I guess I'm curious about Derek too. I find them sitting with Derek at a table, talking like a regular day. My heart drops Derek looks up and we make eye contact. I quickly turn on my heels and run to the other side of the cafeteria where me and Vallyk usually sit.

V: hey, where were you?

Y: oh I just go up to get some Froyo

V: I dont see any froyo in your hands

Y: oh... the froyo machine busted.

V: y/n what's going on I know your lying.

There is no way I can tell him what I was doing, especially about Derek.

Y: I just wanted to see Kenny, he seemed really angry this morning.

That's the best I could come up with.

V: oh.. I understand.

Y: is something wrong.

V: Yea I just.. didn't know that you were still caught up about him.

Y: Vallyk, we were hanging out a lot and I've started to develop feelings for him. You can't just expect me to forget about that just because you like me.

V: Actually yes I did. I like you and you like me what more does it take.

Y: Your being so insensitive right now.

V: Im the insensitive one? Because none of this would've have happened if you didn't start dating Derek. Did you ever think of my feelings or how it would make me feel if two of my friends dated, even if you didn't know I like you.

With that he gets up and storms out of the cafeteria. My eyes follow him as he walks out, but my focus quickly gets blurred by the tears forming in my eyes. Great, now I've had fights with two of the boys in my life. What is wrong with me.
