Undecided|| Vallyk or Derek??

The party was yesterday but I still can't comprehend what happened. Does this mean Derek likes me? It's as if the universe answers my question because I get a text from Derek.

A couple hours later me and Derek are outside the diner in his car, just incase anyone we know comes.

D: so...

Y: so...

D: I think you know why we're here

Y: yep

D: I just wanted to apologize for-

Y: you don't have to

Derek looks at me confused

Y: i liked it.. I guess

D: I like you.. he smiles

He leans in again but I stop him by putting my index finger in his mouth, I'm not ready for that.

Y: let's continue this another time

D:...

Y: i have to go I'll call you later.

Before he can say anything I get out of his car. I don't want to jump into this immediately. If me and Derek are gonna be a thing I want to take it slow, get to know him first.

It's been a couple hours since I met up with Derek. I have a headache from juggling Derek and Vallyk in my mind. I really miss Vallyk's company but I was still angry at him. I put some AirPods in and listen to some music. Music always helps me calm down.

Im watching tv when I hear a knock at my bedroom door. It's Aunt Kiki

K: hey

Y: hey

K: you've been in the house all day, surprised I haven't seen Vallyk in a couple days

Y: oh uh yea

K: Did something happen?

I sit up in my bed and she sits beside me

Y: I guess we got into a fight

K: what happened

Y: he just made a decision that I don't understand

K: well if he's your best friend shouldn't you be supportive no matter what

These words echoed in my ears

Y: I guess your right. Thanks Kiki, but will you excuse me? I have to be somewhere

She nods and smiles. She's right, even if I don't agree with his decisions I should still be there for him, that's what's best friends are for. I run over to Vallyk's house as fast as I can. I knock on his window . The door opens. It's Devyn

Y: oh hey

D: hey

Y: um... is Vallyk here

D: yea he's inside, I'll get him.

A few moments later Vallyk comes to the door.

V: hey...

Y: hey, you mad at me?

He closes the front door behind him and we both sit on the steps.

V: no, i understand why you were mad. But trust me when I say she's changed.

Y: Im sorry that I overreacted before, if you want her back then I should support you.

Vallyk holds his arms out

V: hug it out?

I hug him tightly, I get butterflies. But he's with Devyn know so I have to shove those feelings back.

Y: so about you and Devyn... you guys a thing or

V: uh yea actually we're bf and gf again

I admit these words hurt, but I couldn't do anything about it. Vallyk likes Devyn and not me, you don't always get what you want in life. I have to act happy for him.

Y: Ooooo Im so happy for you guys.

We continue talking for a little bit on the doorsteps. Then Vallyk goes inside and I go back home.

I want to be happy for him but it's hard. Ugh I wish I had feelings for someone else not him, things would I so much easier. Then an idea pops into my head.

This chapter sucks so bad🙈I have good ideas for some jawdroppers, but I don't want to get into them too fast. So I'm trying my best to lead up to that but I'm kinda rushing so please, just bear with me and be patient, the story will get a lot more interesting.
