Undecided|| Vallyk or Derek??

Chapter 2

By noon the next day me and Vallyk are together again, no surprise. We've been unseperable since we were in diapers. We were at the diner eating lunch. Being with Vallyk made me feel safe, and comfortable, and myself. He even looked cute while eating. Another reason we got along is because we both eat a lot lol, well him more than me. I was so deep in thought I didn't realize I was smiling.

V: y/n..

I snap out of my thoughts

Y:huh

V: you were smiling

Y: i was just thinking

V: about what

Y: none of your business

He pouts playfully, ugh he's so cute! I really did want to tell him, I just couldn't. He stares at me for a couple seconds, staring contests are our way of challenging eachother I guess. Neither of us blink but he's sees I won't give up easily and gives up.

V: fine you don't have to tell me

Y: Hey how are your friends

V: they're good. They said you seem pretty cool

I put my hand on my chest, pretending to act hurt

Y: pretty cool!? I'm great!

We both laugh. Soon after we both finish our food and hit the road. Ever since we could drive we've gone on long drives. We'd listen to some music and just talk. When the sun would start to set we'd go to our special spot. It was a creek on the outskirts of the town. Unlike most creeks the water was a beautiful blue color. The way the water glistened under the sun was so breath-taking. It looked like something from a dream. It was most beautiful at the time of sunset, the blend of orange, purple, and pink would reflect off the sky into the water, as well as the stars. We would go there to talk, and just embrace the view

Y: this never gets old

Vallyk nods in agreement

We sit in silence taking in the ethereal scenery before us. I look over at Vallyk, and can't help but stare. He looks over at me and smiles. I don't know why but I keep staring. He also keeps staring. I clear my throat and look down, unable to hold the eye contact.

Y: umm we should go it's getting late

V: yea

I get out the car without saying anything and just and wave. He waves back. What happened back there at the creek? Did he realize it too? I just decide to forget about it and walk inside. I'm greeted by a sweet smell. I walk into the kitchen to find Aunt Kiki baking cookies.

Y: hey Kiki, what are the cookies for ?

K: I just wanted to make some. I was thinking maybe we could just hangout and have some cookies, I know you like them. I've missed you the past couple days, you've been with Vallyk haven't you

Y: uh.. yea

K : you guys have gotten pretty close Her lips spread into a wide grin

Y: shutup we're just friends.. best friends

K: fine

I knew this wouldn't be the last time we'd be discussing this.

Aunt Kiki and I sit in the movie room and eat the cookies. Once we finish them, which didn't take long, we got some more snacks then return to the movie room to watch some movies. I look at the clock and it's 1 Am. I decide to go to sleep since we have school tomorrow. I plop into my bed and fall asleep instantly

I wake up to the sound of my window opening, it's Vallyk.

Y: what time is it? I say while yawning and stretching

V: 5 am

My eyes widen in shock

Y: why are you here so early

V: My moms boyfriend is back, I don't wanna deal with that piece of shit right now

Y: you mean the same boyfriend that cheated on her

V: yes! I still dont get why she took him back. Could I just stay with you for today

I nod and hold my arms out inviting him to my bed

Y: It's still early and your probably tired

Vallyk gets into my bed and falls asleep within minutes. He rolls over leading him to putting an arm over me. I get butterflies by the touch of his skin. What was I thinking, I like Vallyk.
