Gabby’s POV:
I watched as Kaylee cuddled into his arms and made herself at home. A pang of jealousy shot through me, overwhelming me and leaving me feeling quite surprised. Why the hell was I feeling jealous of them? I mean Wes is still out cold so it’s not like he volunteered to have her cuddle up to him…not that he wouldn’t be enjoying it…but still.
Then there was the fact that I couldn’t be jealous of them for just being a cute couple…cause they did look really good together, but I had Drew! Ugh…this was just plain frustrating, I willed the feeling to go away desperately not wanting to feel like this when he woke up.
As if right on cue I saw a flicker in his eyes.
“Wes?” I asked quietly, walking over to his bed and kneeling down next to him. He must’ve noticed Kaylee’s arms around him and subconsciously nestled into her hair. His eyes shot open suddenly.
“Ahh!” he shrieked as he saw Kaylee there. He looked around the room desperately searching for something until his eyes locked on me and he sighed in relief. That familiar warm feeling blossomed in my stomach as we stayed staring at each other.
I didn’t know what I was supposed to say, it was almost like we were having a silent conversation with our eyes and it was nice…all until Kaylee snapped us out of it.
“YAAAYY!! You’re awake!!” she cooed, and kissed his cheek enthusiastically. She then decided that she would give him a proper kiss and pressed her lips to his forcefully.
I couldn’t control myself when I saw the look on his face. His nose was wrinkled in disgust so much that it looked like he had just caught a whiff of a rotten egg. I cracked up laughing, the laugh was so cringe-worthy that I wanted to crawl into a hole. Kaylee pulled away from him and glared at me, while Wes joined in on my laughter. It was obviously his intention to make me laugh.
“You’re such a goofball…” I chuckled, trying to calm myself down. Kaylee turned her head to look at Wes, who shot an innocent grin at her. Unfortunately for me this only made me laugh ten times more. I was literally crying at this point and clutching my stomach from the pain. I think I was officially hysterical. It wasn’t even that funny.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Kaylee snapped suddenly, shooting another glare my way.
“Nothing…” I blurted out and pulled a cheesy grin at her.
“You’re so weird…” she mumbled. I raised an eyebrow at her, usually if someone called me weird I would thank them because being weird showed my individuality…but this sounded like such an insult coming from her that it brought out the bitch in me. “No wonder people chose to ignore you at school.” She added, and looked me straight in the eyes, almost challenging me.
“I’m sorry, who stuck something up your ass today?” I snapped.
“I’m just saying that without my project Drew would’ve never fallen for you. So instead of laughing at me you should be thanking me” she smiled a sickly sweet smile at me as my eyes narrowed. Who the hell did she think she was?! The Queen?!
“Don’t talk to her like that!” Wes spat suddenly, my heart warmed at the fact that he was sticking up for me…but this was a fight between me and her.
“So you’d rather stick up for her than your own girlfriend?” she challenged.
“When did you turn into such a bitch?” I laughed, fake of course. But she wasn’t going to get to me…
“The day when you left your supposed best friend for a boy”
“I did not! Do you not see me here right now?” I snapped. I looked over at Wes to find him staring at the ground uncomfortably.
