Gabby’s POV:

“Stop being so loud!!” I hissed and hit Wes on the arm. Seriously, he could make enough noise to wake up an army, and this was when he was TRYING to be quiet. We didn’t want to wake Laraine or even Keaton for that matter, but I knew Keaton would be too deep in his sleep to actually care.

“We could’ve just waltzed in and no-one would’ve cared, but nooo you’re intent on sneaking in to my own house” Wes huffed and as quietly as he could he opened the front door. I cringed as it creaked open. “Stupid door…” Wes muttered under his breath. I shot him a warning look to tell him to shut up, but he just completely ignored me like usual.

We tiptoed into his living room, cautious to not step on any creaky floorboards. Our dark shadows reflected off the strikingly white walls, they were huge and basically anyone could see us coming from a mile away.

The sun had fully risen by now but it was still early (A/N: I have no idea when the sun actually rises…since I don’t get up that early :P But I’m assuming like 5-6ish…let’s just pretend for the sake of the story that it is 5 okay!) I was hoping Laraine wouldn’t be awake yet. I was determined to not get caught in the act of sneaking in, considering it wasn’t even my house we were sneaking into.

Wes suddenly grabbed my hand in his and laced his fingers through mine. All this sneaking around was actually kind of exhilarating for the both of us, it had taken both our minds off what had happened before and it was just like old times. Except this time Laraine would be sure to rip our heads off if she caught us.

He gripped my hand tightly as we walked up the stairs, we were so close, yet so far when I heard a slight chuckle come from downstairs.

“The pair of you look ridiculous right now with all your tiptoeing and shushing…” Laraine commented. I let out a sigh of defeat and turned to face her nervously waiting for the scolding to begin.

“Thanks mom. We really appreciate you calling us ridiculous at 6 in the morning…” Wes retorted. He couldn’t hide the grin on his face, the adrenaline was seemingly getting to his head as well.

“Well we wouldn’t be in this situation if you two had come home last night” she stated with a challenging look on her face, daring us to argue with her.

“Sorry Laraine…I needed an escape from everything and we just lost track of time I guess” I admitted and smiled sheepishly. She nodded and pursed her lips.

“It’s alright, we’re all here for you just so you know. Your dad is going to be absolutely fine though, I promise you!” she smiled warmly at me and looked over at Wes who all of a sudden looked completely wiped out. “I have the spare room done up for you Gabby, you two should probably get some sleep!”

“It’s all good mom. We have it covered!!” Wes grinned cheekily at her and hauled me up the stairs quickly.

“But don’t you want your own beds?” she questioned, seemingly confused by our actions…if only she knew…

“We’ll be fine!!” we chorused and broke out into a fit of laughter as we raced to his room. I fell through his door and leaned against his wall trying to catch my breath. Man I’m unfit! He quickly slammed his door before his mom could ask us anymore questions and looked over at me with a giant grin on his face.

“Well that was fun…” he murmured, seductively walking closer to me. He placed both his hands either side of my head and pressed his body up against mine. My breathing hitched in my throat.

“m..maybe we should do it again sometime…” I stammered, mentally cursing myself for being weak in this moment. His face loomed over mine, inching closer and closer. Oh geez, I just know he’s going to tease me…he’s going to leave me wanting more and I’m going to hate him for it.
