Wes’ POV:

“YOU SENT HER A FUCKING TEXT ON MY PHONE?! WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT?!” I raged at Kaylee, she stepped back in shock.

“I…er…I’m sorry Wesley! I just…you guys need to sort this out! You haven’t been yourself ever since last night, and I just…I hate seeing you like this okay!” she stammered, almost in the brink of tears. I wanted to cave in and comfort her but something inside me refused to let me.

“But the fact of the matter is, you invited her over to MY house using MY phone where you have NO right to do either! I would tell you to get out, but you’re staying whether you like it or not! You got me into this mess so now you’re gonna suffer alongside me!” I snapped.

“Will you stop and listen to yourself?! You’re getting so worked up about basically nothing! There is no harm in trying to fix a friendship, and you know that all my intentions were good…so don’t go and yell at me!” she hissed, the anger in her eyes was enough to make me slump in defeat. She was right…well wasn’t she always?

This was our first fight together, and I had a huge feeling that this was the first of many. Why did I say yes? Now all I’m gonna do is beat myself up over it. Either way someone is going to get hurt…either Kaylee if I broke up with her, or me if I stayed with her…because then I would never get a shot with Gabby…

“I’m sorry…” I sighed and held my arms out for her. She walked straight into them and cuddled to my chest. It felt nice, but it didn’t feel amazing like it was supposed to. “So, what time is she coming over?”

“6 o’clock!”  she murmured into my chest.

“What time is it now?”

“5:55…” she trailed off looking at the clock on the wall behind me. I pushed apart from her and started running around the house frantically trying to clean things up. It felt like a couple of seconds in the time I had, but in reality it really did take around 10 minutes to clean everything I could before I heard a knock at the door.

I brushed my clothes off, trying not to look dirty for when I opened the door. I took a deep breath and opened the latch, pushing it open slightly so I could hear her voice.

“Are you going to kill me?” I asked through the door. I heard her laugh extremely loud and cheerfully.

“No, now open the door dumby!” she chuckled. I did as she said, opening the door wide enough to see her and…….DREW. My face instantly dropped from a smile to a scowl in a matter of seconds. Instead of making some snide comment about him I just gestured for them to come in. Figures he would turn up with her…it’s like they can’t stand a second away from each other.

“How’s it going mate?” Drew asked, trying to sound friendly for Gabby’s sake.

“Pretty good, you?” I replied icily.

“Yeah, it’s been pretty chill lately…” I nodded, pretending as if I was interested in what he had to say. They followed me into my chill out room and we all sat down on the couch together. Kaylee popped her head round the corner and smiled.

“Kaylee? What are you doing here?” Gabby asked, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

“Just hanging out with Wes…” she smiled, Gabby shot her a knowing smile back and somehow I felt like I was missing out on something important.

“So I don’t really know what we’re gonna do…we could watch a movie or something…” I suggested, trying to change the topic to something I felt more included in. Gabby shrugged and Drew and Kaylee exchanged a look.
