Wes' POV:

The day had been long and tedious, if Drew made one more smart comment I would shove my fist down his throat. Gabby had been off who knows where, thankfully she wasn't with Drew, but it still had me slightly worried.

I drove to the skate park, I was begging that Gabby hadn't forgotten and wouldn't leave me hanging. But I also wouldn't have minded the time to myself. I sat down on our bench and waited for her, plugging in my ear phones so I didn't look like too much of a douche.

This is how it always worked with her and I. I would turn up early and she would leave me waiting, always wanting more...it's just what she did.

Gabby's POV:

"Honey, we aren't late. We're fashionably late, there's a difference!" Chantelle stated as if I was such an idiot for not realising. I clenched my teeth to refrain from snapping at her. I hated making Wes wait, he always did so much for me and I hated taking advantage of him.

I didn't even bring my board, thanks to Chantelle. She thought skateboarding was for losers and therefore meant that I couldn't do it.

I could've seen Wes skating from a mile away, that is how familiar all his moves were to me. I smiled slightly, knowing that he didn't wait up. He continued skating, not even noticing us sitting and watching him from our bench.

We called it our bench because that was where we first became friends. Earlier that day he had told me to stay away from him because I was too girly, so I made a point to come to the skate park dressed in full out tomboy clothes. I skated even better than him that day and earned his complete and utter respect.

The benches significance? That's where we'd made the official handshake of our friendship. It sounds lame I know, but it was special to both of us and never failed to put a smile on my face.

Wes' head shot up quickly as he realised that someone was watching him. He must've not realised who we were because he stopped skating and gave us a confused look.

"DO you want something?" he scowled and skated closer.

"Only you babe..." Chantelle winked and walked over to him to introduce herself.

"Oh hey Gabbz...I forgot...the er...yeah the experiment..." he mumbled and looked at the ground awkwardly, completely ignoring Chantelle. The look on her face was priceless, pure and utter shock. If I wasn't trying to be friends with her I would've been rolling on the floor absolutely pissing myself.

It was the kind of thing Wes and I would mock about the 'populars'. Little things like someone not noticing they were there would piss them off so much, it made me wonder what the hell really happened in their life to make that the only shocking thing.

"So I was just telling Gabby how much I love skateboarding...and then you showed up. It was the perfect moment for me...cute guy that can skateboard." She cooed and bit her lip. This time Wes definitely noticed her and her bloody pushed up bra.

Which is exactly what she wanted, but it still irritated me. How could he be such a...boy?

"Thanks I think..." he smirked and looked over at me with confusion plastered across his face again. I knew what his question was. Why on Earth was I hanging out with the girl we spent half our lives laughing at? Well the truth is Drew set me up with her, he said she was cool so I figured there was no harm in hanging out. "Where's your board then?" he asked, looking at the both of us.

"Left it at home..." I mumbled and avoided eye contact, he knew I wasn't a forgetful person.

"Oh I can't skateboard...no-one's ever taught me before..." she pouted and pretended as if she really meant it.
