22|telling rose the truth

romeos pov
As I watched her walk away, all I could do was smile. She was perfect and last night was all I could ever ask for. I hold up the frame that she was looking at last night. It was a pretty cringey photo but whatever she thought it was cute.

Roses door slammed. Oh shit.
"Romeo. What the fuck did you do to Chiara? She isn't here anymore!" I guess I have to tell her everything. "She's in the bathroom chill out." "Okay that explains where she is now but she definitely wasn't here all of last night."

I take in a deep breath. "Rose um she-"
"She what Romeo. Tell me."
"Well she went down for a drink and got lost and well I caught here in my room looking at that photo of us when we were younger. The one on my bedside table. Then I come in to my room and she tells me she got lost."
"Romeo she could have found her way back to my room easily."
"Rose god shut the fuck up. I'm trying to tell you... well I asked her if I could speak to her. She's been different recently. Thanks to you" I go off track.

"Thanks to me? What is that supposed to mean?" She shouted in a whisper trying not to scare Chiara I'm guessing.
"You told her about my ex. How I cheated. Little do you know I never fucking cheated."
"Romeo you- you didn't cheat? Why did you never say anything then?" Her voice became soft.

"Because Rose, she was a bitch. She used me. For popularity and money. She never fucking loved me. It was her plan just to gain friends and then mess about with said friends. She wasn't the same person you knew. And well I caught her cheating. With Jack. Yeah Jack my fucking best mate. She flipped it all on me. I was so loyal and she knew it. I would do everything for her! Give her flowers and chocolates and compliments all the time. It was never a 50:50 relationship. Then after all the cheating was put on me no one stayed by my side. Everyone took her side. Even you. That's why I never told you shit Rose. Because you believed the rumors. Just like everyone else."

"Romeo I-"
"I don't want to hear it. I'm not finished. So I told Chiara what I just told you and she apologised. We're all good again and closer than before. We watched friends and well she fell asleep next to me. Then I fell asleep too. And then you come barging in like I've hurt or some shit. You know I'd never do that. Cant you tell. I literally love her. I'm obsessed with her-"
"Romeo... you love her?"
Shit. I just said that. It's true, I loved her. She made my world bright just when I needed it.
"Yeah... I guess I do. She's everything I ever needed."
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry you couldn't tell me all of that. I'll let you guys be. She makes you happy. The happiest I've seen you. I'm sorry what I told her. That wasn't my place. I just... I didn't want her to get hurt."
"Don't worry about it. I'm good now. Thanks Rose."

She smiled at me and then turned on her heel about to leave. "But I'm gonna need confirmation from her Romeo. She's all mine before you guys leave to Louisiana."
"Okay Rose whatever you say."

Rose left and the water stopped. Chiara finished her shower. I walked out of my bedroom down the stairs. The bathroom door opened at Chiara, wrapped in a towel sent me a look to almost ask if everything went well between Rose and I. I nod back with a smirk on my face and she giggles. I carry on walking down the stairs and walk to the kitchen to make breakfast for us all.

It was around 10:30 am and I knew Rose and Chiara were going to spend the whole day together so might as well do something nice before we leave for the plane. We didn't really have a time to leave because of the private plane and all. As long as we left before 7pm it was all good.

I made a continental platter with a variety of foods, yogurts and fruits. I guess those cooking classes that mom made me do with her were pretty handy. As I was setting everything up, I looked up and saw Chiara walk in looking as beautiful as ever.

"Whatcha making there?" She says a little playfulness twisted in her voice.
"Breakfast of course. Come. Sit down. It'll be ready very soon." She struts over and before she sits down she kisses me.
"What was that for?"
"A thank you. For everything." I go to kiss her.
"And that's a you're welcome kiss."

She smiles at me and I place the plate down on the kitchen island. I shout up to Rose that I made breakfast and she starts to run down the stairs. She was always down for food. Rose sits down next to Chiara and I sit opposite the two of them.

Chiara and I start passing looks to each other. And she giggles.

"Okay guys I know I'm third wheeling but please. You're literally going to be together for a whole week. I only have today with her Romeo. Let me at least have fun without you distracting her."
"Oh a little feisty I see" I mock.

"Cmon Rose let's go pack. Bye Romeo. See you soon." Chiara chirps breaking the sibling rivalry.
"Bye Chi have fun. Rose bring her here by 7. That's when we need to leave. I'm trusting you not to be late."
"Ok sure whatever." Rose says and shuts the front door.

Now I just have to get my stuff together. And I'm planning to take a trip to the shops. I kind of want to see if there's like a reward present because I already know Chiaras going to have done amazing in everything. I've only known her for maybe a month but I'm already deep in love. I'm crushing so bad and she knows it.
