Romeo decided for us to get a lift home since my Dad and Rose were fully into their dinner. Out of my respect it was my choice to leave them and to have fun. I said I was just going to rest. Romeo still held onto my hand but I didn't want him to move it anyway. He brought me warmth.
In the car, I tucked my head into the nook of his neck and hugged him close. I felt safe here and I'm pretty sure he knew that. He ran his fingers through my hair.
"Tesoro, I'm sorry. I wish you never had to go through that alone. I'm here now. You're safe with me."
"Thank you, so much. I-it's just that-"
He cut my off putting his finger to my lips, silencing me. "No no, we don't have to speak about it. Come on" signalling to put my head back by his neck,"you can sleep if you must."
I put my head back and he continued holding me as close as ever.My eyes grew heavy and my muscles became lazy. I decided to sleep there in his arms. I didn't care about snoring or drooling. He had already seen me at my worst. My hand reached to his hair and twisted its long ends into my fingers. He didn't stop me. So I think he liked it.
I woke up to Romeo whispering in my ear that we were home and that I should go to bed. I woke up and moaned because I was too comfy.
"I'll lay with you don't worry. I can't leave you seeing as you're so upset. What gentleman would I be if I did that!" He carried my bridal style into the house and placed me on my bed."Romeo, my makeup. I can't sleep with it on" I murmured as I pointed towards the wipes on my bathroom counter. He walked towards them and grabbed the pack. He wiped off my makeup gently trying not to hurt me. "Thank you Ro." I mutter before dozing off.
I feel the bed dip and I know that it's Romeo because I can smell his gorgeous aroma. It was my own ecstasy. I woke up and moved in closer to him. I felt a calmness upon me. He kept all his clothes on except from his shoes, of course. He was the most amazing guy ever.
I moved in closer to the point there was nothing between us. I rubbed his back and suddenly I wasn't tired anymore. I sat up in bed and tapped Romeos shoulder. "Hey Romeo, can we talk for a bit." His eyes shot up quickly. He was up for it. "Yeah of course, tesoro. What about?"
I just looked at him. Into his hazel orbs.
"Home." I just say quietly. He replies fast, "Chi, bella, this is you're home." I assumed Bella was just a cute nickname and brushed it off.
"Fine, Louisiana."
"Mhm"
"Yeah. I uh don't know how to say it."
"What. Please. Say it."
"I... don't know if I graduated. I left before graduation."
"Fuck, tesoro, I thought you were going to say something bad!"I looked at him. What did he think I was going to say. I spilled most of it at dinner earlier. Except from my stupid crush but seeing Romeo's reaction to my 14 year old selfs boyfriend I figured that wouldn't go down well.
"Well, we can visit. Go back quickly and go to your school and get everything from there." He stroked my hair rubbed his finger over my cheek. I nodded and closed my eyes.
"You'll come with me, right?"
"Of course Tesoro."I smiled and with that I let myself dream on. Into dreamworld. Let my imagination run wild.
Romeo's POV
As she fell asleep in my arms, I felt my world click. Everything here was perfect. She was my answer. To life. To me. To my heart. I stroked her soft skin in rhythm to her cute snores.I don't understand how no one from Louisiana saw her beauty. The first time I saw her, I knew she was perfect. I couldn't believe my eyes when she was curled up in my own arms. The trust was there. I just needed to build on it.
I really liked this girl. She was different to everyone else. She knew the boundaries yet she knew how to act on them.
I heard the door click and I knew my sister and her Dad was home now. I heard them chattering away downstairs. They mentioned my name and usually I would make a big entrance of my whereabouts but I couldn't this time. I was wrapped up with Chi.
My beautiful Chiara.
