"Hey Seongie, my class got done early so I—oh my god!" A small screech slipped past Jungwoo's lips when he walked into his dorm to see Seonghwa and Hongjoong...doing adult things. "I really should've knocked."
By now, Seonghwa had pulled the blanked over both of them, shielding mostly his boyfriends body from his roommate. Looking back up them, Jungwoo sent Hongjoong a smile, "Oh you're so cute! I love you're hair!"
The boy sat up, smiling at the boys words, "Thank you! I just dyed it an—"
"Uhm, can we put clothes on then talk about that?" Seonghwa blurted out, cutting the conversation between the two short.
Jungwoo quickly nodded, "Yeah, right. Uh I'll go get a hot chocolate, do you guys want anything?"
"No w—"
"Can you get me a white hot chocolate please?" Hongjoong asked softly, cutting his boyfriend off mid sentence.
"What size do y—"
"Get out!"
Jungwoo made sure to dramatically knock when he returned at his dorm, waiting patiently for somebody to open the door. And Seonghwa did, making sure to send the boy a scowl.
"Here you go Hongjoong," He said happily, handing the boy his drink.
"Thank you so much—how much was it?"
Waving the boy off, Jungwoo shook his head, "oh don't worry about it." Just as the boy was about to protest, he remembered what he wanted to talk about, "How did you get your hair to be that blue?"
Another smile spread across Hongjoong's face at the question, "I had to dye it like three different times to get this color—but it was worth it."
"I tried dyeing my hair once...my hands were red for a week."
"So was our bathroom," Seonghwa interjected, sitting down next to the two.
A small pout formed on Jungwoo's lips, "that's because you wouldn't help me."
Hongjoong gasped, getting an amazing idea, "We should dye your hair! I can help you!"
Jungwoo's face lit up upon hearing those words. "I've always wanted to try black?" He asked shyly, expecting some kind of protest since his parents were always so against him messing with his hair.
"Maybe we sh—"
Slapping a hand over his boyfriends mouth, Hongjoong aggressively nodded, "Yes, yes that would look so good on you!" A couple seconds of silence fell over the trio until he got yet another idea. "Let's go to the store so we can do it tonight. We can surprise your boyfriend!" Grabbing Seonghwa's wallet off of the night stand and running towards the door with Jungwoo, he couldn't help but feel like he was forgetting something. Shrugging it off, he turned and yelled, "Bye Seongie!"
The two boys walked out of the dormitory hand in hand, talking about whatever came to their minds while they went to the store near campus.
Once at the store, the boys did a lot of messing around until they finally made it to the hair aisles. "So I like these two brands, but it's all up to you," Hongjoong said, pointing to a few different boxes of hair dye.
Jungwoo picked up one of the boxes he pointed to and threw it into the basket, trusting whatever Hongjoong told him. "Let's go get some snacks."
✨✨✨
"Joongie—Joongie wait!" Jungwoo giggled as Hongjoong got more of the dye on his forehead than on his actual hair.
"Don't worry, I'll scrub it off at the end." He responded, continuing to get the mixture everywhere but the intended spot.
Seonghwa smiled from where he was seated on his bed, happy that the two boys were getting along so well. When he and Hongjoong first met, he was really reluctant to tell him about Jungwoo because they were so close. But they were already giggling together and calling each other by cute nicknames.
While the two boys were trying messing around in the bathroom, making quite the mess, there was a knock at the door. Seonghwa hesitantly got off of his comfortable bed and opened it, revealing a smiley Lucas.
Peaking his head out of the bathroom, Hongjoong took in the boys appearance and whispered, "Happy tall boy?"
"Shit it's Lucas, close the door!" Jungwoo yelled, causing Hongjoong to run over and dramatically slam the door.
"Baby? Why are you locking yourself in the bathroom?" Lucas asked from the other side of the door.
Jungwoo looked at the other boy in the bathroom then back at the hair dye, "U—Uh it's a surprise!"
"Oh, do you want me to come back late—"
"No! We'll be done in like twenty minutes!" He yelled almost too eagerly, his Lucas deprivation finally getting to him. "Please don't leave."
"I'm not going anywhere angel, I promise." Lucas said quietly.
Seonghwa and Hongjoong both felt out of place at the cute moment shared between the couple. Regardless of that, Hongjoong still yanked Jungwoo's head down and continued to work the dye through his hair.
After following all of the instructions, they were finally at the point where they could rinse Jungwoo's hair, the last step.
A smile spread across Hongjoong's face as he finished drying the boys hair, besides all of the dye in his forehead, it looked really good. He found some rubbing alcohol in the cupboard and worked on scrubbing all of it off.
When he finished that, he looked down at Jungwoo in concern, noticing how quiet the boy had been since they finished. "Do you not like it?"
Jungwoo looked up at him and shook his head, "No, I really like it but—what if Lucas doesn't like it? I should've asked him before I did this!"
Feeling his motherly instincts kicking in, Hongjoong put his hands on either side of Jungwoo's face and pulled his face up to look at him. "Jungwoo, you never have to ask him permission to do something that alters your appearance. He's your boyfriend, not a parent. He should support every choice you make, got it?"
The boy quietly sniffled but still nodded, "You think he'll like it?"
"Babe, who wouldn't? You look hot." Hongjoong said, causing both of them to burst into another fit of giggles. "Do you want to go show him and Seongie? I can clean up in here."
"Are you sure, I should help too," Jungwoo protested, a small frown forming on his lips.
"Go, it's fine, go show your boy."
Tackling the smaller boy with a hug, Jungwoo held him against his chest and mumbled, "Thank you so much Joongie."
Jungwoo had to take a deep breath as he reached for the door handle, scared of the various reactions his boyfriend could have.
"Me and Joongie dyed my hair..." He said softly, gaining the attention of the two boys who were talking together on Seonghwa's bed.
Looking up at the voice, Lucas gasped at the sight, "It looks so good baby!"
"You like It?"
The younger nodded enthusiastically getting up to run over and hug the boy, "Yes I like it, I really like it."
