"Two-Bit? Where are you going?" I asked my brother.

"The DX. Why?"

"Can I come?"

"Sure I guess." Then he smiled. "Oh you just want to see your boyfriend!"

I blushed. "No, he's not my boyfriend. Steve is my best friend. There's a difference."

"Sure, Nikki. Lets go."

Two-Bit was on to me. I did have a huge crush on Steve. But we were best friends! I didn't want to ruin it! Besides he doesn't like me anyway.

When we got to the DX, Soda was working on a car and Steve was hanging out inside.

"Hey Stevie!" I called.

"Why do you insist on calling me that?" He smirked.

"Because it's a cool name."

"No it's not."

"Yes it is. I'll prove it. Stevie Wonder."

"No. He's not cool."

"How dare you insult Stevie Wonder to my face!"

We burst out laughing. He was so cute when he laughed.

"Hey lovebirds! Can you stop flirting and ring this up for me?" Interrupted Two-Bit.

Steve turned red and went over to the cash register.

"2 bottles of Coca-Cola. That'll be $1.00."

Two-Bit payed Steve and tossed me a bottle. "I'm gonna go talk to Soda."

As soon as he walked out the door, Steve turned to me. "Good. We're alone." He came over and kissed me. I felt fireworks go off everywhere.

We kissed for a while until he broke apart. "So," he began awkwardly, "do you, uh, want, um-"

"I'll stop you there. Yes."

He smiled. "I've liked you for a while Nikki. You're beautiful, smart and just plain amazing."

I blushed. "I've liked you for a while too."

We kissed again.

"Whoa whoa whoa! What's going on in here?" Laughed Two-Bit.

"It looks like both DX boys are off the market." Soda joked.

Steve rolled his eyes. Soda was currently dating Sandy, who annoyed Steve to death.

"Now Steve," began Two-Bit, "if you hurt my baby sister, I hurt you."

"Two-Bit!" I laughed. "I'm not your baby sister! And I promise he won't hurt me."

"I won't hurt her. I promise. Get used to everyone, 'cause Nikki and I will be together for a while."
