"So after the whole run in with my ex, we ran back here." I told the gang.

"Don't you ever do that again!" Snapped Darry. "You and Johnny could've been killed!"

"Yeah but we weren't. It was kind of fun!" I laughed.

"I agree!" Johnny said and kissed my cheek.

The gang went back to joking and having fun when the lights flickered.

"It must be because of the storm that's supposed to come tonight." Said Soda.

"Or it's a ghost!" Yelled Two-Bit.

The lights flickered again and they went out.

"Damn power," muttered Darry. "I'll go check on it.

He walked down the hall to the fuse box. He switched it on and off.

"It's not the fuse box. Something outside must've screwed it up."

I got worried. Maybe my ex wasn't dead. Maybe it's him. Johnny must've been thinking the same thing because he gave me a worried look.

Then the phone rang.

"I'll get it," I said shakily. "Hello?"

A raspy voice spoke on the other end. "He may be dead, but I'm not. Look out. I'm coming to get you."

"Who is this?" I shrieked.

"Your worst nightmare." The voice laughed and hung up, leaving me speechless.

"Everything alright?" Asked Johnny.

"No. They're coming."

He knew right away what that meant.

He grabbed my hand and began to run.

"Where are you going?" Asked Darry.

We quickly explained what was going on. The gang paled. We tried to find a hiding spot as quickly as possible. We hid behind the couch-a spot that was really tight and hard to get into. But then we heard the door open. I saw him.

"Oh my god." I whispered.

"What?!" Everyone else asked.

"He's not dead."

Sure enough, my ex was standing there. Blood covered his shirt. He looked pure evil.

"I know you're here Maria. You too, Johnny."

I started shaking. Johnny grabbed me.

"We'll be okay." He whispered. "I hope."

I heard footsteps get closer. I took one last look at the gang. Everyone was hiding except Dally. He was at Buck's for the night. I was desperately wishing I was where he was. I knew that I was going to die.

Soon those footsteps stopped. "I know you're here," he said.

I prayed for a miracle to happen. I heard him pull out his gun and load it.
I was screwed.

Then the door opened again. "Who the hell are you?" A familiar New York accent said. Dally!

I didn't make out what they were saying exactly. All I know is that the majority of the conversation was swearing. A few gunshots went off. I cringed. A few moments passed.

"You can come out now." Said Dally. Johnny and I poked our heads out. There was Dally, holding a gun with my ex on the ground. He was dead for real this time. "You exes are messed up Maria!" Said Dally.

"Dal! You're bleeding!" Cried Johnny. Dally looked down and saw that his arm has been shot. "This is nothing. You should've seen what New York was like!"

The police came and took my ex away. They questioned Johnny and me. After they left, Johnny gave me a long kiss.
"What a day!" He laughed.

"You can say that again!"

Sorry that took so long. I hope you like it!!! Stay gold!
