Soda Imagine For Erica

"Steve!" I yelled to my brother.

"What?"

"Are you going to the DX?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"Can I come?"

"You just wanna see your boyfriend don't you?"

I blushed. Soda has been my longtime crush. I've liked him for years.

"No. Why do you ask?"

Steve smiled. "Come on Eri."

"Okay fine."

"I knew it! Yeah you can come."

"Please don't tell him!"

"I won't. He probably knows anyway."

Steve and I headed to the DX. I found Soda sitting at the counter, chewing gum. He began to blow a bubble. I snuck up behind him and popped it as soon as it got big. The gum went everywhere.

"Aww! Eri! That was gonna break a record!"

"Sorry Soda. There's always next time!"

He smirked. "Time to get even."

He chased me around, trying to get gum in my hair and on my clothes. After a few minutes of chasing (and annoyed remarks from Steve), he tackled me. He was on top of me, our faces inches apart.

"Time for revenge!"

"No!!!!" I laughed.

I waited for him to get gum in my hair and clothes, but something else happened. Soda leaned in and kissed me. Shocked, I pulled away. Soda looked rejected.

"Sorry, that was stupid of me. I shouldn't hav-" I cut him off with a kiss. It was long and passionate.

"Hey lovebirds!" Yelled Steve. "Can you get a room? I'm trying to work! I'd prefer not to see my sis and my best friend making out in front of me."

We pulled away laughing.

"So it's okay that I did that?" He asked.

"I've been waiting for that for years, actually."

"I've been waiting for the right time to ask you out. I've liked you for years too. I didn't know you liked me back until Steve told me."

"Steve told you?! STEVEN RANDLE IM GOING TO KILL YOU! YOU PROMISED!" I yelled.

Soda laughed. "So what do ya say Eri? Will you be my girl?"

I kissed him again. "Yes."

After I washed the gum off my face, I spent the whole day at the DX. Then the three of us headed over to Curtis house where we told Pony and Darry. They were cool with it.

Eventually, I fell asleep in Soda's arms knowing that this was going to be a great year.
