The Pokémon Mansion

I examined the map and decided that we were going through Pallet Town to get to Cinnabar Island. It would be a long flight, but Osore could get us there in one piece.

When I told the team about the plan, Osore was the only one who was visibly panicked. I giggled when I saw his reaction, and then explained that Nessie would swim us across to the island.

Nessie looked proud and nodded happily, and Osore even agreed. I called them all back and left Osore out, gathering the rest of my things before heading out.

"Ready, Osore?" I asked, balancing myself on top of my bird Pokémon.

He nodded and launched himself into the sky. I stretched my arms and glanced back at my hair. I grinned happily as Osore and I soared through the air.

"This is nice... right, Osore?" I asked, ruffling his feathers.

"Fear!" He happily replied.

I stretched my legs before getting off of Osore, who stretched his wings out. I gave him a treat for his hard work and called him back in.

I passed by my house on the way to the edge of town, but I decided to wait until visiting my mom. I wasn't even sure if she was at the house, she might've been with the Professor.

I shook my head and ran to the river. I gulped and called Nessie out of her pokéball. She gently floated on top of the water and smiled at me. Her gentle nature calmed me down as I took a seat on her shell.

I sighed as she started moving through the water, shivering as we got to the deeper parts of the water. I looked back, but we were miles from Pallet Town. I began regretting my decision, but it wasn't all bad.

The crystal clear water was quite relaxing, it was the perfect place for a nap. I yawned and stretched my arms out, placing my bag behind Nessie's neck.

"Nessie, do you mind if I nap?" I yawned.

"Not at all."

"Oh than- huh?"

"What's wrong?"

I glanced around my surroundings, but no one else was around. I turned to Nessie, who kept on swimming without a care in the world.

"Nessie... did you hear that?" I asked, getting a little scared of the ocean.

"Yes? Is that a problem?"

"Was that you? You can talk?!" I squealed.

Nessie turned around, smiled, and nodded. "Yes... I can communicate through telepathy. No one else can hear me, only you."

"Woah! How awesome! Are you communicating with the others too?" I asked, happily sitting close to Nessie.

She nodded. "I've been able to do this for a long time... I also know that you aren't from here."

I paused, and couldn't respond to Nessie. I scoffed and sighed. "How?"

"I can read minds too... especially when your thoughts are focused on one thing in particular."

"Then... how did you read it?" I asked, confused.

"Well... I remember feeling the emotions of love and sorrow for a particular person. Does that ring a bell?"

"Green? True... when I think of him I always feel sad because I don't know if I'm going to be here forever..." I mumbled.

"Yes... I can tell you this: you will leave this world. Your time is almost up."
