The Freeze Pokémon
I couldn't remember what happened after my Pokémon and I got placed in the Hall of Fame. I woke up and found myself back in the room I first came here. I searched the room, and everyone was still sleeping soundly.
"I'm glad... that I'm still here," I mumbled to myself as I stretched.
As I quietly tried getting out of bed, Spike yawned and woke up as well. He started nudging everyone else, wanting them to get up.
"Sorry, everyone... Spike says it's time to wake up." I apologized.
They must've been exhausted. They fought hard in each battle and didn't get a break until we won the whole thing. I planned to stay here the whole day so we could rest.
However, my mind couldn't help but think of Green. The distraught look on his face when the Professor was scolding him stung me. I wanted to see him. I wanted to tell him my feelings, but he wouldn't email me back.
He had essentially disappeared. I knew he was likely training, but I couldn't help but worry about him. I saw my mom in the kitchen, and she hardly acknowledged my presence. No big deal. Her daughter just became the Pokémon League Champion, and here she is just eating waffles.
"Did you make me some?" I asked.
She shook her head and swallowed her food. "Professor Oak is looking for you. He should be in his lab."
I frowned. "I'm hungry! You didn't even congratulate me..."
Ignoring my words, she went to watch her show. I fixed my Pokémon breakfast and called them down, and then made my own. I quickly got ready and called everyone back into their pokéballs before heading to the Professors.
Pallet Town hadn't changed at all in the time that I left with Haru, and it had the same soothing air that I was first exposed to.
I stepped into the lab, and all of Professor Oak's assistants congratulated me. I felt myself blush as I made my way through to the Professor.
He gave me a huge smile. "Great to see you! How are you doing?"
I scratched the back of my head, feeling my face flush. "Ah, I'm good... just waiting for Gre-"
I immediately stopped talking and waited for the Professor to start talking. "Well... that's good. May I see how your Pokédex is coming along?"
I shook my head firmly. "N-no! I haven't been trying to complete it! I was just focused on being the Champion..."
Oak sighed disappointingly. "No matter... I still have a favor to ask."
"Huh? A favor?" I asked.
Oak nodded and looked serious. "There have been sightings of rare Pokémon recently. Pokémon that haven't been seen since ancient times."
"Eh? That... and you want me to deal with them? What about Green?" I firmly asked.
Oak shook his head. "He isn't someone I can trust with this. You, however, are the new Pokémon League Champion, and I trust you more than him."
I frowned but nodded. "Got it... where has the first one been sighted?"
"I've heard of three legendary birds that flock to their respective elements... so you might want to check the Seafoam Islands or perhaps the Power Plant..." Oak thought. "I cannot think of the third one right now, but I'll let you know immediately once I know."
I nodded and started heading out. "Hurry up and let me know, Professor! And... makeup with Green."
