Laura Grace/Gracie/LG – POV

We made it back to the house in one piece, Max drove that car like he stole it and scared the shit out of me. I jumped out of the car bag in hand and started to the house. "Come on Laura Grace, I didn't even go over 85!" Max yells at me.

"The speed limit is 60!" I yell back walking in the house and closing the door behind me. "LIZZIE?" I yell from the foyer she comes running from the sitting room.

"Thank Goddess your home! He is in the..." I cover her mouth as I see Edmond walk in the foyer from behind her. The front door is thrown open and Lizzie and I just stand there as Max comes in not noticing anyone, just looking at me.

"Laura Grace, come on baby..." He finally looks over and sees his father walking into the foyer. "Oh, Hi Father." He says looking over and not finishing his first sentence.

"Don't you 'Hi Father' me, where have you been. I thought we were going to have a real discussion about the future now that you two have come to your senses." He says with a direct tone clearly annoyed.

"I think that is a wonderful idea. Lunch is ready let's go into the dining room and sit down and have a discussion." Lizzie says as she waves her arms toward the dinning room. She drags me off to the side. "You better have a plan, because he is pissed, he is ready to drag you out of here. He said you could do so much good for everyone. I don't know if he will let you stay." She says looking like she is going to start hyperventilating. Thankfully Kyle comes up behind her and places his hand on her back, she jumps a bit then starts to calm down.

"Lizzie, when have I not had a plan?" I say coolly grabbing her upper arms and making her stand up straight. "Max and I talked some about it, but do you trust me?"

"Of course!" Lizzie says shocked I asked.

"Ladies! Are your going to join us?" Edmond says from the dining room. We all turn and walk in as Kyle hold Lizzie's hand walks to her seat and pulls it out for her as I look at Max and he is waiting for me at the chair next to him standing pulling the chair out. Edmond is at the head of the table as Max is to his right and Lizzie is to his left. Kyle sits next to Lizzie as I see Brett walk in and sit next to me. He nods.

"My Queen." Brett says as he sit next to me.

"Nope, just LG please." I say to him dead serious.

"Laura Grace, you must understand, your place is as Queen so they will call you as such." Edmond look at me willing me to understand.

"Mr. Redding, I am not yet Queen and formality is just not my thing. It has a place in the boardroom, but not in my house." I turn to him stating facts.

"You know to call me Edmond by now, and I understand, but you need to get used to it." He says looking at Max. "Have you set a date?" He states simply as if it's a done deal. I look at Max and I can feel his hand on my leg under the table. I am not sure if it is for him or me. I grab the salad bowl in front of me and heap it on to my plate. I love Mary's Asian Chicken Salad, I hand it to Brett and he takes it and starts to pass it around. I look at Max to indicate he needs to step up here.
