Hello, my humans!
I know my updates have been rather inconsistent, your girl has been stressing over online college classes and not seeing her family for three months :))).
Anyway, I would loooove to know how you're liking AYWS so far:Who's your favourite character?
Do you prefer the senior year chapters or the throwback ones?
What are the songs you associate with the book (thinking of making a playlist w/ your suggestion)?
And finally, how do you think/like the story to end?

I took a deep breath as I stood in front of my computer. As I looked at the college applications' website. The essay I'd been working on for so long, seemed to be ironically looking at me, knowing full well it might change my entire future. I had applied to only three colleges, but I had my eyes on the one set in the big apple.
After clicking the send button I nervously closed my laptop and stared at my reflection in the mirror that hanged above my desk.
I stood up and thought about all the possibilities that my college applications implied. What if I entered UCLA, and had to move across the country to California? Or Georgetown and had to go to all the way to Washington? But finally what if I had to go to New York? To the cultural epicenter of the country? Live a life of Friends, How I met Your Mother, the countless Romantic Comedies, or my favorite book A Little Life?
But deep down I knew I was romanticizing the city, and all I wanted was to simply be happy.
I made my way to my bathroom and took a quick shower, putting on my long-sleeved flower dress and a pair of black boots, and put on a light layer of makeup.
I made my way downstairs to find my mother sitting on the living room's couch watching House Wives. When she heard my footsteps she quickly turned around and excitedly asked.
"So? Is it done?"
"Yes," I said taking a seat next to her.
"So, it was NYU, Georgetown, and-?" She asked taking my hands in hers.
"UCLA," I answered.
"You'll get in NYU, honey! You could come and visit me a lot! The other ones are so far!"
"I know, Mom. But it's going to be hard nonetheless."
"Well let's keep faithful." She exclaimed again and took me in a warm embrace, "Your grandma would be so proud."
And I couldn't help but feel my eyes getting watery. I would give anything for her to be here.
"Honey," She said losing the bung and looking at me with a more serious face, "I think maybe you should call your father."
"Mom! What?" I asked taking my hands from hers.
"Just think about it! It's a very important moment of your life and you should share it with family. You shouldn't just have your mother to tell!"
"My mother is more than enough! Besides if he wanted to know anything about me he would've called."
"Okay, okay! We won't discuss it anymore." She said while standing up, "Now let's have some dinner."
While we ate dinner we discussed all the possibilities concerning college, after cleaning the dishes I hugged my mother, put on my jacket and gloves, and headed out the door heading to Zeus'.
