The classes after lunch were just as tedious as the ones before it.
We ended up leaving the cafeteria before the bell rang because Scar pulled me and Grace up by an arm. When I asked why she'd done it, she simply answered: "You were clearly not comfortable there."
We spent the rest of the lunch hour discussing the weekend's party, and Scarlett ended up telling us what she knew about Bryson and Melanie: "I didn't see anything, it was Dallas who told me. Turns out that they were both fucking drunk." to that I replied that it was okay, which I knew it wasn't and so did they.
The bell rang while Scarlett was telling us about the Californian guy that she hab been talking with when Carson appeared and thought that the guy was flirting with her so he beat him to the ground. Scarlett explained that she got mad, but that they ended up going home together, creeping in through her bedroom's window so that her mother wouldn't notice. She concluded the narrative by making me and Grace promise that we would go to next weekend's party, making me and my platinum-haired friend exchange apprehensive looks.
Me and Grace went to history class together still laughing at our friend's drunk stories. When we got to the classroom the door was already closed, which meant that we were extremely late. We knocked and got in, after receiving an angry look from the teacher.
..
The school day ended and I was about to make my way to the parking lot when I remembered that I hadn't brought my car today because of Scarlet's ride. I stopped in my tracks and looked around for any sign of my friends. I had left class later than usual after having to justify to my history teacher why my grades were all dropping, so Grace had left without me.
I called Scarlett but she'd already left with Carson and Grace, so the only person left that I was willing to call for help was Dallas. I dialed his number and he happily greeted me, I asked if he was still in school and he reassured me he was still in the parking lot.
I made my way outside to the open parking lot where almost no cars were stationed, making it easier to spot my friend's bright yellow car.
As I begun to make my way across the black pavement covered with white lines, I noticed that two figure where already leaning against the yellow car. In the distance, I could only make out that one was taller than the other, and that the both of them were holding something that shone in the afternoon light.
As the distance between the yellow car and me shortened, I fell in astonishment as I understood who the people were and what they were holding. It was Dallas and Bryson each one holding a cigarette. I didn't know if I was more surprised, angry or worried as I took in the sight before me.
"Are you serious Dallas?" Bryson asked with an annoyed look when he noticed me.
"She needed a ride. I can't go around picking sides." Dallas responded and turned to me to give me a bright smile, while Bryson rolled his eyes and looked away.
They threw the nicotine into the ground and stepped on it, putting out the cigarette.
"That's really bad for you." I simply announced while opening the back door and entering the car, they followed me in.
"We know, coconut." Dallas responded and started the ignition, "I was just going to give Bryson a ride home. What happened? Did Scarlett bailed you to go fuck Carson?"
"No, I stayed behind." I simply answered while resting my head back in my seat.
"After you left we had an idea to gain money for the trip," Dallas announced, "We will host parties and charge for the entry and for the alcohol" He stated like it was the most rational and logical thing ever said.
