"Cody open the door." Rex called, leaning against the door to Cody's quarters. He vaguely heard a muffled 'Go away' before sighing. "Cody either open this door or I'll just ask Boil to let me in since he knows the code." Moments later the door opened to reveal a teary eyed Cody glaring at Rex.

"Get in." He growled low, walking back into the room as Rex followed him inside. The Marshal Commander's normally neat and pristine room looked as though a tornado had ripped through it. Papers strewn about the floor and a hole had been punched into the one wall.

"Cody.." Rex began softly but stopped when the commander glared at him.

"If you're here to tell me I should just be happy he's alive you can shove it. He lied to me, he knew their plan days in advance, and he didn't think once to tell me even though he knew his 'death' would break me inside. And then what? He has the gall to think that when he came back everything would be normal, that my heart wasn't completely shattered to bits and pieces to the point where a small part of me hoped this war would be the end of me so I'd see him again!?"

"Cody.."

"And then he basically tells me that he couldn't trust me! I'm his commander, hell I'm the highest ranked clone, why would he not trust me?!" Cody asked, breaking off into tears.

"Cody I just wanted to see if you needed a hug." Rex said as the crying commander nodded, hugging his friend tightly. Rex sighed and hugged him back.

"Rex?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you help me clean this mess up. . .it's bothering me." Rex chuckled at the commanders OCD'ness and nodded.

"Yeah I'll help you clean this up."

The next day Cody's heart broke more with every step he took as he followed Rex to the control room of the ship. He looked anywhere but at Obi Wan as the two clones took up their posts in the back, hearing what their orders were and the mission they had to complete. Once the briefing was over Cody made to follow Rex, Anakin, and Ahsoka from the room when Obi Wan called for him to stay. He couldn't ignore an order in front of the other two jedi so he stayed where he was as Rex shot him a look before leaving.

"What did you need General?" Cody asked, using Obi Wan's rank as a way to show him he wasn't over his betrayal.

"Cody please, I just need to talk to you." Obi Wan said sadly and Cody was glad for the helmet covering his face as he felt his eyes tear up.

"Sorry General, you had your chance." Cody replied coldly, turning on his heel to leave. Obi Wan watched him for a moment before following after him and quickly pulling the commander into an empty room.

"Cody please talk to me." Obi Wan pleaded, using the force to lock the door so he could have a chance to talk to him.

"So now you want to talk about things?" Cody snapped making the Jedi flinch.

"Cody please, I'm so sorry for what I did. It was so wrong and I love you too much to not be able to handle being apart from you another moment.

"You lied to me."

"I know, and you have every right to be mad, but please I need you." Cody sobbed softly at Obi Wan's words.

"Sometimes I hate that I love you."

"I know." Obi Wan gently and slowly reached out to grab Cody's helmet. When the clone made no move to stop him Obi removed the helmet before gently pulling the clone into a soft kiss. Cody kissed back immediately and melted into it, thinking that maybe Obi Wan deserved a second chance.
