Chapter 20

"Are you really sure you want to do this?" Cody asked, "This is a big deal and will change everything for you." Obi Wan smiled at him.

"I have never been more sure of anything. After what happened, I realized we can't wait to do this, so if one of us dies, at least we will have done this and not live fully in regret."

"Then let's do it." Cody replied with a smile back before following the jedi quietly out of the base. They'd made all their plans the night before, having talked it over and deciding that this is what they wanted to do, that they needed to do this now before it was possibly too late. They left the base behind as they headed into the city, making sure nobody saw them before heading into the building they'd picked. Already waiting was the pastor.

"Are you ready?" The man asked as they walked over to him.

"Yes we are." Cody replied with a smile and the man nodded before beginning to recite.

"With these vows you will be united beneath the stars of the galaxy that may they burn bright with your love everlasting. And with the rings you do unite to vow to love and cherish one another always. Speak your vows as you place the rings."

"Cody, you are the true love of my life. Without you, I don't know what I would do with myself. I loved you from the day they assigned you as my Commander and be it the will of the force or just sheer chance, but we were made for one another. I love you with all my life." Obi Wan said with a smile as he slid a ring onto Cody's finger.

"Obi Wan, I loved you from the day we first met. You always make me feel like I'm so much more than a clone, and to me you are so much more than a jedi. I may not have been your first love, but I am honored to be your last. I love you with everything in my soul and I believe I was made for you, to be here with you in this moment." Cody said as he slid a ring onto Obi Wan's finger. They held hands as the priest continued.

"By the light of the stars and the power held within me and within yourselves, I pronounce you husband and husband, you may kiss." Obi Wan smiled and pulled Cody into a passionate kiss, one that conveyed every ounce of love he felt for the clone.

"I love you so much Cody."

"I love you so much to Obi Wan, and whatever the future holds, we'll face it together."

"We will, and I will always be there for you."
