Chapter 12

"Come on Cody, it's been a few days! Why haven't you stopped crying?!" Wolffe asked, exasperated as the marshal commander sat with his face down on the table, sobbing. Rex gave Wolffe a 'Really? That's your way of comforting him.' look to which the commander shrugged. Rex rolled his eyes and looked at his closest friend.

"Cody.." Rex began but the sobbing clone cut him off.

"No, I know what you're going to say and you can just fuck off."

"But.."

"Fuck off."

"Cody."

"I don't hear you fucking off"

"Cody will you just listen! My general and commander found him!" Cody's head shot up from the table to look at Rex.

"What?"

"They found the bounty hunter." Wolffe said as Rex nodded.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!?!" Cody shouted at them.

"Because you wanted us to and I quote 'Fuck off'" Wolffe said as Cody glared at him.

"Where'd they find him?!" He asked, turning to Rex again.

"Naboo, some sort of event the Chancellor is at. The general went to go capture him." Cody nodded, hoping they'd catch the person responsible for the misery he'd been in for the last few days.

"They better catch him and kill him this time. Jail was too easy a punishment." He hissed lowly. Wolffe nodded in agreement. Rex sighed and rolled his eyes.

Cody walked alongside Wolffe and Rex as they made their way to a command center to find out some news. Rex had heard Cad Bane was captured and they wanted to know if Rako Hardeen had been caught as well. As they walked Cody heard some commotion and, assuming it was some shinnies making trouble, went to go look. He rounded the corner and froze in his tracks at the sigh before him.

Obi Wan was reprimanding some new clones for being where they shouldn't be and sent them off on their way. Cody stared in shock, it couldn't be real. He couldn't be standing there. Then Obi Wan turned and noticed him, a bright smile erupting onto his face. Cody chocked on a sob and ran over to him, wrapping his arms around him tightly. Instantly he felt Obi Wan's arms wrap around his body as he hugged him back.

"You were dead!" Cody sobbed and Obi Wan sighed.

"I know Cody, I'm sorry I couldn't tell you."

"Tell me what?"

"That the council needed me to pretend to be dead to pose as Hardeen to gather intel to stop Cad Bane's plans."

"What?" Cody asked coldy, pulling back from the hug.

"Cody please, it was a mission you know..."

"A MISSION?! A mission you couldn't bother to tell your commander, your BOYFRIEND about?!" Cody yelled, not caring at the moment who heard them.

"Cody nobody was to know, to make sure people thought I was dead."

"So nobody could know, but your jedi council could, and what, you think I'd run around telling people you were alive?! People who for all purposes would never know about what we had anyways because you're a jedi?!"

"Cody.."

"NO! You lied to me and let me think you were dead! I cried every damn day since the moment I found out and now what?! I'm supposed to forgive you?! No! This, is over, I don't need somebody who's going to just lie to me." Cody said, the anger fading from his tone and posture as he said those last words. Obi Wan stared at him in shock.

"Cody please..."

"NO!" Cody snapped, turning and walking away quickly. He didn't look back even though every step he took away broke his heart.
