Ghosmmy

I look through Ghostbur's library, examining all the historical books. I was about to head back to the cave, but I got distracted by this. As I look around, I realized that there was a book that Ghostbur made himself.

"Things that I remember as a ghost

I didn't even need to read through it to grab a book and start writing. If I was losing memories, I needed to prove it to myself. Looking through the crammed barrels, I found an empty book and quill that I could write in.

A few hours passed and I was still writing away in the book. I listed everything about my life in about 10 pages worth of memories. As soon as I finished, or at least I thought I was, I signed it and stored it in my inventory. Next time I had a vision episode, I would look through my book, seeing if I could remember everything I wrote. I really hoped that this would work because it would give me more time to say goodbyes and all of those things.

I don't want to be losing my memories, I really don't. To be honest, I was also at the same time hoping that it wouldn't work so that it would prove that nothings happening, but if it didn't work, there was a possibility that it really is true.

Ghostbur had come out of his small basement and saw me in his library.

"I thought you were going back to the cave," he said.

"Well, if we really are losing our memories, then I want to write it down. Then it's easier to figure out if I'm really losing my memories or not," I replied to him.

Ghostbur looks at me, concerned, but I ignore it and walk with him back to the cave.

After a few minutes of traveling, Ghostbur and I are both floating above the water to head to the cave. I see slight movement in the side of my eye, but I don't pay much attention to it. Ghostbur floats a little quicker in front of me, and I see him hand rubbing his head.

"Hey Ghostbur, you're having one of those weird vision things," I told him.

"Oh, really?" He looks to the side, seeing the hand. But he's not focused on the hand, he's focused on me.

"You do too," Ghostbur told me.

I look both sides, seeing my hand on my left side. I bring it down the same time as Wilbur as a sharp and throbbing pain starts to enter my head. My eyes shut and ringing fills my ears. This time, I see foxes. Foxes are running along the meadows. There's an odd one out, but I can't quite see why it was odd. It was much larger and resembled more like a human. I don't think it was a fox, it might've been someone dressing as one. But who would do that?

Everything disappeared a few seconds later. The visions, the pain, and the ringing.

I quickly grab my book, flipping and scanning through the pages. Everything seemed normal to me, but right when I flipped to the last page, my head started ringing again.

"Ghos.. Ghostbur?" I tried asking through the noise. I couldn't tell if he was there or not, my eyes shut by reflex.

I felt his hand swoop my mine and could tell he had it at the same time as me.

This time, it kept going. And going.

And going.

It wouldn't stop until I couldn't handle anymore. My eyes felt so shut that I could see color now, but only the shade of white. White. I could only see white. It was ahead of me, and suddenly, it felt like my soul left the Earth. I could somehow feel Ghostbur's presence near me, but I didn't even know how. I couldn't hear anything over the stupid noise and pain that filled my body.

Suddenly, the pain stopped. The ringing stopped.

But besides that,

I stopped.
