Tubbo
I get up quickly, knowing that it would become night soon. I completely forget about Technoblade because finding Tommy was my job right now. We needed Tommy for our own reasons, and I personally think that my reason was much better than his.
I grab some steak, blocks, and a netherite pickaxe. Who knows where he could be? I don't know if he's underground or just laying on the grass.
As I grab my coat, I hear Technoblade at the door.
"Hey, I think I found Quackity and Fundy."
-
I follow him to Ponk's tower. We've already been here before, but I guess maybe we didn't look hard enough?
Technoblade quickly proved me right.
He broke a block in the ground and revealed a massive dungeon underneath. I climb down the ladders, curiosity filling my body. The compass still wasn't pointing in the right direction for Tommy but who knows, maybe he got rid of the compass somewhere.
As I look around, I see two people sitting next to each other. I get deja vu from the vision I saw in the sewers.
"Big Q! Fundy!" I yell. I can hear my voice echoing inside the walls.
"It took you long enough, we couldn't even see anything. We couldn't escape because of that, plus we have no idea where we were," Big Q said.
"We're underneath Ponk's tower. What happened?" I asked.
"Well all I remember is the smoke bomb that Dream threw, and then I just remember darkness. And now I'm here," Fundy replied. Big Q nodded in reply, signaling that he remembered the same.
"Is Tommy down here?" I asked. I could hear the slightest bit of hope in my voice, but I knew that it was going to be crushed immediately.
"No, I don't think so."
Without warning, I climbed back up the ladders. I guess they didn't really care as much because they proceeded to get out and talk with one another. For me, however, I followed the compass. I ran with all my energy, hoping that Tommy was close by. It was, however, the exact opposite. I traveled so far that I wasn't even in Dream SMP territory anymore, it was just ocean.
But I didn't care about any stupid oceans. I furiously chopped down a tree and made a makeshift boat and started rowing and rowing into the now setting sun. The compass kept saying that Tommy was more and more forward, and I was hoping that it was right. If it wasn't, then all my energy would be spent. So will my hope and confidence in finding him.
Dream has really gotten on my nerves this time. What type of horrible person takes three people and holds them hostage? Especially Tommy? I had just gotten him back, and Dream had to take him away from me just like that.
After thousands and thousands of blocks of ocean passed by, the compass was starting to turn a little bit. I looked down on it, hope forming inside of me. I followed the direction of the compass and saw land ahead of me.
It didn't look like there was anything special on it, it just looked like a plain island. Maybe it wasn't the island, but I guess we'll see.
I went to the right of the island to go around it but when I looked down, the line was moving. It wobbled and pointed to the left. My heart stopped as I looked back on the island. This was it.
I went onto the shore and jumped off the boat. A shovel was already in my inventory and I used it to tear the sand and grass that the compass was pointing to. At this point, the compass was going crazy. I kept it in my hand as I helplessly dug into the ground, digging into every direction to find Tommy.
The island was pretty big, but the place that the compass pointed towards eliminated most of the land. A few days passed and I was still digging into the ground, sweating my skin off. Every few minutes I would crawl into the corner, longing for Tommy, but I would always get back up, knowing that I would find him soon.
I mined and mined and mined. And mined.
I couldn't find any sign of Tommy, not even a piece of stone was out of place.
Eventually I reached bedrock. Was this really it? I spent almost a whole week digging out a massive hole in the ground, and my arms were sore as hell. Tommy wasn't even in sight. There was no way that he was below the bedrock, and I was starting to lose hope.
Stupid compass. The stupid compass gave me hope, and now it had just torn it all apart.
I furiously chucked the compass onto the ground. I thought it was going to shatter into pieces, and I really hoped it did. But instead, something came out of it. The necklace.
I never wore it since it feels heavy on my neck. Tommy's compass points to that exact necklace that lay on the ground, and now I felt bad for never actually wearing it.
I fell onto my knees, picking the necklace up. I turned it around and looked into the deep purple of the lodestone gem. It felt like I was getting sucked into it, like the purple was hypnotizing me in some way.
My eyes felt like it was being dragged into the necklace. I didn't know how to feel, it felt like I was being lured into it. But when I opened my eyes after it being shut, I saw blue. It was the sky. Clouds were below me, and my arms were filling with goosebumps from the cold and harsh air.
"Tubbo?" I heard Tommy's voice say. It echoed throughout my head, eventually leading to my ears ringing. My eyes shut from the pain that filled my body, but then the pain was gone, just like that. I opened my eyes and looked at the necklace again. It seemed to have a mind of its own; looking at me innocently like nothing just happened.
He's in the sky, I could feel it in my bones.
