As the hot spring sun broke through the window, Gabe tried his hardest to pay attention to Mr. McGee's math lecture. Gabe stopped fiddling with his pencil and began to put it to use. He started doodling the Batman logo in his still empty notebook. Halfway through, he was stopped.
"Um, excuse me?" There was a girl with large, somewhat nerdy, glasses and red hair standing in the doorway. She had on a Batman t-shirt, relatively tall Harry Potter socks, red Converse high tops, a black pleated skirt, and she carried about six or seven books.
"Can I help you?" Mr. McGee asked her. She shifted her weight uneasily from one foot to the other. She was obviously lost and confused, but not scared. No one dressed like that could be scared.
"Well, I'm looking for Ms. Soukup's advanced algebra class? Is this not it?" The girl looked at a piece of paper in her hand. It was probably her schedule.
"That's in the west wing. This is not the west wing. Are you new?" Mr. McGee asked. She nodded. "I see. Well, um..... Gabriel!" He looked up. "Take this young lady to her class please." Gabe stood up and began walking over to her. "You might as well bring your belongings with you."
Gabe turned around and grabbed his bag. He led the girl out into the hallway.
"So my name is Alex, and yours is obviously Gabe. What do you like? Do you like Batman? I do. He's pretty-"
"Yeah, I like Batman," Gabe said. "My two dogs are actually named Batman and Robin." He smirked a little.
"Oh that's cool. Do you you like math? I don't really like it, ik just pretty good at it. How about you? What grade are you-"
She was cut off by Gabe's lips against hers. At first in shock, Alex did nothing. Then, when realization sunk in, she began kissing him back. He pushed her against the row of lockers as he deepened the kiss. Regrettably, Alex pulled away.
"Um, we'd better get to class," she mumbled, obviously flustered.
"Yeah," Gabe replied.
As they walked the rest of the way, Gabe slung his arm around her- officializing their relationship.
