"Hey, Tara," Dipper said, walking over to the girl. "What'cha reading?"

She picked her head up from her book and smiled. "The Maze Jogger," she replied.

"I'm surprised," he said, sitting down next to her. "I expected Larry Notter."

They laughed, as she marked her place and set her book down. "So how've things been?"

"Alright. Same amount of paranormal activity as usual. How about you? You haven't visited the Shack in a while," Dipper asked Tara. She shrugged.

"Nothing new. Oh, uh, except, uh, I had a dream. There was this... triangle guy? He, uh, had a bow tie and a tall hat, and, uh, he was bad...?"

"Triangle guy? Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no! This isn't good!" Dipper said, starting to panic. He began pacing around the Shack.

"Hey, Dipper! I successfully bedazzled my face!" Mabel yelled, skipping in with a bedazzled face. "Why do you look so serious?"

"Tara said that she had a dream," he began.

"No big deal! Everyone has dreams, Dipper. You're being silly," Mabel told Dipper.

"Ugh, no. Mabel! She had a dream with Bill in it! This isn't good! This is not good!" He began to pace again, this time more frantically.

"Hey, what's the big deal? Who's Bill? How do you know him? Sh-should I be worried?" Tara asked, beginning to fret.

"Yeah, who is Bill? WAIT! Isn't he that triangle guy that tried to kill us or something?" Mabel asked, catching on.

"Hey, calm down, Pine Tree," Tara said to Dipper. His eyes grew wide.

     "Where'd you hear that?!?"

"It was in the dream- oh. Is that, liken what he does, or whatever?" Dipper nodded.

"You guys go up on the roof, I'll get the journal and we'll figure out what to do," he instructed.

"I can't," Mabel told him. "I'm going to Candy's house for a sleep over! BYEE!"

"Oookay. You go wait up there, Tara, alright?" She nodded, as he went to his room to retrieve the journal.

Once she was alone, Tara began to read again. Man, I wish I could be in this book. That'd be so cool! she thought to herself.

But you can, Tara, an eerily familiar voice said.

"Wh-who said that?" Tara asked, whipping her head around. The voice laughed as the whole world became void of all color except for her. An orb grew, and, gradually, a line drew down the center of it. As a triangle began to form, Bill Cipher formed in front of her eyes.

"I can let anything happen for you, Taradactyl," he spoke in his strange voice. "For only a small cost."

"Okay, for starters, don't call me Taradactyl. Secondly, I would never make a deal with you. Dipper told me what you've done; how you can't be trusted. Why are you here? What do you want?"

"That doesn't matter right now. What matters is- what do you want, Taradactyl?" Bill asked.

     "Why?"

"Ugh, why do you kids ask so many questions? Can't a magical, all-knowing triangle just ask a simple question?"

"No! It's unnerving! You're not supposed to need to ask questions if you're all-knowing! And it's unnerving that you can just show up whenever you feel like it!" Tara ranted.

"But you have to want something in life. What is it? I can give it to you. Come on, Taradactyl."

"Fine. I guess I'd kind of want to be able to go into my books. You know, like live in their worlds, befriend their friends, you know. That kind of thing," she admitted.

"Done! I can make that possible. All I ask is for one, teensy, little favor in return," Bill said.

"And that is....?" Tara asked, skeptically. She still didn't trust him.

     "I want Pine Tree."

     "You want Dipper? But...why?"

"He knows too much. The town secrets are supposed to be just that- secrets. He's too close to figuring it all out."

     "Absolutely not. Now, leave. Immediately."

"Alright. But if you change your mind..."

She fell back onto the chair as everything became normal and Dipper walked in.

"Woah, what-what happened?" he asked her.

Tara took on a shaky breath before answering him. "Bill. Bill Cipher happened."
