A few days later...

After a few days of training, getting my butt kicked by Alex, and a ton of walking and climbing a huge mountain, we made it. Alex reached out his hand to help me up. The four of us were now standing on top of the tallest mountain.

"Ugh, this weapon better be worth all the trouble of just getting on this big rock." Alex said

"Speaking of it, look" Violet said

Only a few feet in front of us Alex's golden weapon stood lodged into a flat rock. It was basically an axe but with two blades.

"Oh yea, now that's my kind of weapon," Alex said, "What are we waiting for, Let's grab it"

We began to walk towards the weapon but as we got closer, the wind around us got stronger, almost as if it had some sort of protective shield around it. Alex was the one closest to it, but it even he was struggling to reach the weapon.

"I'm...almost...there!!" Alex yelled as his hand was only a few inches away from the weapon.

Then from across the other side of the weapon some sort of purple portal appeared out of nowhere. A purple bolt of lightning shot out of the portal and struck Alex on the chest. The bolt tore at his shirt, and it sent him flying past the three of us. We pulled on our Ninja wraps and prepared for what or who could come through that portal. A man walked out, but he wasn't fully human, or at least that's what we could see. His skin was pure black, and his eyes glowed a dark purple. He wore a dark silver helmet on his head. He wore a black Gi and had a purple belt around his waist. He carried a grey staff with a lightning bolt shooting out from on top of the weapon. Behind him a few skeletons ran out and surrounded the golden weapon. The evil looking person walked in front of the weapon and stood in front of us.

"So, you must be Garmadon, Wu has told us a lot about you." I spoke.

"Good to know that I'm well known," Garmadon smirked.

I pulled out my Golden sword with my right hand and my regular katana with my left. Amber held out her golden shurikens and Violet pulled out her Sai.  Wow, we have to fight Wu's brother, I hope we're ready for this. Those thoughts raced through my mind as Garmadon started to walk towards me.

"Violet, get back and protect Alex." I yelled

"Got it!" she responded. The skeletons ran past Amber and I, towards Violet, and we got ready for the fight. Garmadon struck first, he swung his staff down at me, and I brought up my swords. I led his staff away from me and I spun to his back side. Amber then swung her shuriken at him. He dodged her attack by stepping back he swung his staff upwards. It struck Amber's chest, and she stumbled back. I tried attacking his back, but he brought up his left leg and kicked my shin. I fell on one knee. He turned around and kicked my shoulder, so I fell on my back.

"Wow, Wu has taught you nothing," he said as he brought up his staff.

Then I saw Amber behind Garmadon. She threw one of her shuriken at him and it landed right next to his right foot. Ice formed around the ground, and it spread up his leg. She then ran up to him and tackled him to the floor. After they hit the floor, Amber quickly stood up, turned around and with her arms, she shot two beams of ice at him. Garmadon brought up his staff used it to block the beams of ice coming at him.

"Well, hello master of ice, looks like you know how to fight, let's see if my brother has taught you anything."

Garmadon pushed his staff against Amber's ice beams, and it created a pulse of energy that knocked amber back. He grabbed her collar and slightly picked her up. He stared into her eyes with a smirk, then threw her in front of him. She landed a few feet in front of him. She was knocked out. Violet saw her land across from Garmadon, but she couldn't help at the moment. She dodged and incoming attack from a skeleton with a sword. She grabbed its arm and pulled it away from her. She then kicked it off the edge of the mountain. That was the third one she had defeated, only three more. One of them threw their sword at her, but she spun to the right and dodged it. She then threw both of her Sai and they both lodged into its chest. She ran towards it, but another skeleton ran in between them. She flipped over the first one and she reached the other skeleton. She then grabbed her Sai, and she pulled them apart, tearing the skeleton in half. Its bones dropped to the ground. The last two skeletons ran towards her. holding up their swords. Violet adjusted her hood and ran at them. She threw both of her Sai past the skeletons, and they lodged themselves on the ground. She then slid under them as they tried to attack. While she slid on the floor, she grabbed one of their legs and tore them off of their torsos. They both fell forward and violet got up. She grabbed her Sai from the ground and kicked the two skeletons off the mountain. She started running over to Garmadon but she felt arms reach around her neck. It turns out a skeleton she had kicked over the mountain had made its way back up. She tried to elbow it, but its bones were too hard to break by hand. She soon found it hard to breathe, but then the skeleton let go. She turned around and saw the skeleton get destroyed into pieces as Alex spun his weapon through it.

"Alex, are you alright?" Violet asked?

"Yes, I'm alright, but it looks like Daren can use our help." Alex said

"No. You need to get the golden weapon and I'll help Daren."

Alex nodded and made his way to the weapon while Violet ran past it to help me. Meanwhile I was dodging Garmadon's attacks because it was impossible to land an attack onto him. Dodge after dodge he was wearing me out, I had to find the right moment to attack. After dodging a swing from his staff to my head, I swung my sword at his side, but he was way faster than I thought. He brought his staff towards his side and pushed my sword away. He then swung his staff around my sword, and he disarmed me. My sword flew towards the edge of the mountain. He had already made me lose my normal katana, so I just had my fists. He swung his staff at my head, I dodged, and I struck my fist forward. I managed to punch his side, and he stumbled back in shock, then in anger he struck his staff at me. The lightning bolt at the top hit my chest and I felt the lightning throughout my body. It felt like my body stopped working for a second. All of my nerves turned numb. He tried sweeping my legs, but I jumped over his leg. I landed and shoved him to my right to get some distance from him. Then I saw violet running towards me.

"Daren, catch!" she yelled as she threw one of her Sai at me.

I caught it with my right hand, and I swung it at Garmadon. He dodged it but Violet came at him and managed to make a small cut on his right arm. He stepped back as if no one has made a scratch on him before.

"If you think that you two can defeat me, well, then you're more confident than I thought." He said.

"Make it four," Alex said.

Behind us, he and Amber walked besides us and stood in their fighting stances. Alex had managed to get his golden weapon and was holding it with both hands. We all looked at Garmadon. I gripped the Sai tightly. Garmadon grabbed his staff and turned it upside down so that the lightning bolt pointed at the ground. Then he lodged it into the ground. The ground began to crack beneath us and between those cracks grew a faint purple glow. Then all of sudden lightning erupted from the cracks. We all tried dodging the lightning, but it was too quick. It seemed like it had a mind of its own, and somehow it wrapped around me and brought me to my knees. Violet and Amber had been brought to the floor as well. Alex was fast enough to cut through the lightning. Garmadon ran towards Alex and swung at him. He leaned back and dodged the swing to his head, then dodged the stab at his side, and then he brought up his golden weapon to block his staff. When the weapons clashed, it created a small pulse of wind that pushed back Garmadon. Alex swung his staff at Garmadon's side, but he spun to his left to dodge it. They both stepped away from each other.

"You know what, I'm getting tired of this, so how about you let my friends go and we can all go home," Alex said.

"I assume you're joking right? I won't be leaving without that golden weapon you're holding."

Garmadon then charged at Alex. He pointed his staff at him and shot a bolt of lightning. Alex brought up his weapon to block it but somehow the bolt passed and struck him on his chest. The impact sent him sliding to the edge of the mountain. He couldn't move his body. Garmadon walked in front of Alex and looked at him. He then threw a roundhouse kick to his shoulder, causing Alex to lose his balance and he fell.

"Alex!!!" I yelled as I saw him disappear off the mountain.

"I'll be back with him, you three just sit tight," Garmadon said.

He then jumped off the mountain and into a portal.
