I made it out of the forest and I was now standing in front of a wooden plank bridge. The temple was just on the other side. The bridge looked fragile; the wooden planks only being held by rope. Below that was a dark ravine. An unbalance of footing would end my life.

" Daren, hold up," Alex said.

" We held them back, but they will be here soon," Violet added.

They joined me in front of the bridge.

" Okay, let's get the sword and we can get out of here," I said

We crossed the bridge cautiously, trying to keep our eyes from looking down below into the void below. The floor on the other side was mostly rock. The cracks in the terrain were filled with lava. Fragments of rock stuck out of the floor. The temple itself was gorgeous. It was partially in the side of the volcano. A set of red steps led to a pair of sliding doors. There was a golden dragon print on each door. I opened both of them and i saw an almost empty room. The floor was the same as the outside, but at the end of the room, was the dragon sword of fire. It was lodged in a large rock. Below it lay a pool of magma. There was no safe way of getting to it. A path of rock ran across the walls towards the sword. I had to make a big jump, grab the sword, and safely land across the other path. The molten rocks underneath glowed very brightly. It was a pretty intimidating sight. I took off my scabbard and I gave it to Alex.

" Here goes nothing," I said.

I ran towards the upcoming slope. My heart was pumping super loudly, and my surroundings slowed down. I could feel the heat from the pool of magma increasing as I took a step closer. The next thing I knew, the floor left from underneath my feet. I was now over the steaming hot liquid. I grabbed the golden sword, and I gripped it tightly. I felt the rocks beneath my feet again and I slid across the floor. I came to a stop. I realized the sword was much more detailed than I expected. Slightly above the hilt, a golden dragon head was engraved into the sword. The blade itself seemed to be extremely sharp.

"Daren, I think you might have triggered something," Alex said.

The ground began to tremble violently. I looked up and noticed the ceiling above began to split. Rocks were starting to fall down. Alex handed me the scabbard and I wrapped it across my chest.  I gripped the sword, and I led the way through the magma and the rocks. I kicked down the screen doors and we were now outside. The floor began to split open, making it more dangerous for us to run. Then we made it to the bridge, but there was a problem. On the other side, stood the 4-arm skeleton with an army behind him. He stared at the sword in my hands.

"My name is Samukai, king of the underworld, and you will hand over the sword!"

I looked at the sword and then I looked back at him. I wonder what he wanted the sword for.

"I don't think so," I said to him.

That must have gotten him angry, because he brought his dagger in front of him, and he and the army ran towards us. This was not going to end well. I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that all of a sudden, we were fighting skeletons?!

"Alex, you and Violet take as many skeletons as you can, I can handle 4 arms,"

Both of them ran past Samukai and they began to fight the dozens of skeletons on the bridge. He ran towards me and swung his daggers furiously. The first one came for my head, so I ducked, and it missed. The one in his upper left hand came at my shoulder. I stepped back and dodged it. I didn't see the one coming for my side, so I felt the pain as it tore through my red sweatshirt. He then attacked with his two upper daggers. I managed to knock one out of his hand, but the other one cut against my left arm. He then kicked me in the gut, and I fell onto the wooden planks. I felt one give out beneath me and I heard the thud sound as it fell down the ravine.

"Aaahh!"

I heard Alex yell from across the bridge. I looked past Samukai and saw Alex kicked onto the floor. A skeleton with a scythe was going to swing it down on him. Violet quickly swung both of her Sai at it. The skeleton blocked them with his scythe, but Violet stabbed her left Sai into its chest plate. She spun and kicked him off the bridge. She walked over to Alex to help him up, but a skeleton from behind her swept her legs. She fell and lost grip of her Sai. They both went through the wooden planks and fell down into the ravine. A skeleton placed its boot on her stomach. Samukai placed two of his daggers near my neck.

"Give me the sword now!" He yelled.

"Guys run!" I yelled.

I gripped the sword in my hand, and I smacked it on Samukai's head. The hit sent him to the edge of the bridge. I quickly stood up and ran. I pulled my arm back and I threw the golden sword at the skeleton in front of Alex. The skeleton was pushed off the edge and Alex grabbed the sword. He stood up and ran towards the skeleton guarding Violet. He swung the sword at the skeleton, and it broke in half. He helped Violet up and handed the sword to me. The army of skeletons on the rest of the bridge, there must be a way to get out of here. Then the sword in my hands began to glow. It seemed to be whispering something.

"Do any of you guys hear that?" I asked.

They both shook their heads. I could only make out one word, swing. Every time it whispered that word, the sword glowed brighter. So, I grabbed the hilt with both hands, and I swung it in front of me. The sword shot out a wave of fire, that swept through the army. All the skeletons were shoved off the bridge, which gave us a shot to escape. I turned around and saw Samukai walking away.

"Where do you think you're going?" I asked

"You want be able to handle what's about to come your way," he said.

Then, a blue and purple void appeared behind him. It was slowly spinning, with particles of energy sparking out of it. It looked like a portal of some sort. Samukai stepped through it and disappeared. We looked around to check if there were any skeletons left, but there were none. We ran across the bridge and into the forest. The sun was about to rise, so the forest was not so foggy. We were headed to Mistake's tea shop so we could talk to her about all of this. If there were magic or unexplainable things involved, then Mistake was the person to talk to. Violet had told us everything she knew on her, so maybe she could help.
