Chapter 11, Master of Wind

"This stupid lightning, why does he get the cool weapon anyway," Violet asked.

"Cause he's the bad guy, of course he's gonna have a weapon that we can barely fight against. God, I hope Alex is alright." I replied to Violet.

"Yea, I heard a portal opening up before they both fell so wherever they are, I'm sure he can handle himself." I said

I looked over at Amber and noticed that she wasn't saying anything. She had her eyes closed and had her hands on her knees. She was oddly quiet.

"Hey Amber, aren't you the least bit concerned about him?" I asked.

"It's like you said, he can handle himself and if he doesn't come back then we'll move on," she said.

Violet and I looked at her in awe. 

"Move on?? Amber what the hell is wrong with you, you're acting as if he won't come back." Violet replied. 

"I'm not saying he won't, but if he doesn't then it won't be such a big loss to me. Like I always say, it's best not to attach yourself to anyone," Amber said. 

" You know what Amber; we've only known you for a few days, but you're really mean. It seems like you don't like us very much," I said. 

I could see Amber getting irritated.

"This is probably where I'm supposed to tell you my back story and why I'm like this but not gonna happen." she said

I was about to reply to her, but I was interrupted by a light to the left of us. A portal opened up and Alex fell through it, landing on his back, but he wasn't conscience. Garmadon jumped through and was holding the golden weapon. He turned around and looked at us. 

"I honestly don't understand why my brother sent four teens to fight his battle," he said

"What did you do to Alex," I yelled

"Umm what does it look like, I took care of him, jeez you're blind."

I then felt the lightning restraints disappear around my hands, as I saw with Violet and Amber.

"Of course, I won't be able to do the same unless you all put up a good fight," he said with a smirk.

Our weapons were scattered across the floor, so I guess it was just our fists. He ran towards with the golden weapon. Violet, Amber and I all ran towards him. Amber managed to do a front flip over Garmadon, allowing Violet to land a punch to his gut. She shoved him towards me, so that I could throw a punch at him. Garmadon brought up the golden weapon and blocked my hand and pushed me back. Then he swung it at Violet, so she had to step back to dodge it, but Amber came from behind and landed a kick to his back. He stumbled forward and I threw a kick to his leg, causing him to fall on one knee. He then grabbed Violet's ankle and yanked it forward. She fell hard on the floor, and with the weapon, he turned and stabbed the end of it towards me. I managed to grab it before it made contact with my flesh. He then pulled me towards him and threw a punch at my face. He grabbed my collar and then threw me into Amber and we both fell. Wow he was strong. He stood up and some sort of purple energy began to appear around him. He suddenly transformed into a tornado of energy. 

"Oh, crap I forgot he knew spinjitzu," Violet said. 

She stood up and tried to interrupt the tornado, but it knocked into her, and she was thrown a few feet onto the floor. 

I ran towards Violet, but the tornado spun in front of me, and I felt a sting on my right arm, Garmadon must have swung the weapon at me while in there, because I saw a cut above my wrist. Then I felt a kick to my side, and it knocked me out of the way. It then spun towards Amber. She brought up her fists. The tornado spun at her, but she moved to her right to dodge it, she spun and threw a punch at it. Garmadon reached his arm out and grabbed her arm. She was pulled towards the tornado and then was kicked back. She fell and hit her head on the floor. Garmadon came out of the tornado and threw the golden weapon at me. I moved to the right and grabbed the golden weapon in mid-air. I spun it and ran towards him. He brought up his right arm and shot lightning out of his hand. It hit my chest and I was stopped. 

"Damn It's almost as If you guys thought you stood a chance against me." He said while laughing.

He moved his arm forward and the lightning grew stronger. My nerves went numb, and I dropped Alex's weapon, but I didn't hear it reach the floor. I looked over to my side and saw it was slightly floating above the ground. I looked behind Garmadon and saw Alex standing up, looking very much alive. His hand was reached out in front of him, as if he was calling the golden weapon to him. His eyes had a faint green glow and it looked like some type of lightning or energy was shooting out of his eyes. The weapon was pulled away from me and into Alex's hand. He gave it a good spin and then kept it at his side. Garmadon turned to face him, giving me the chance to check on the others. 

"Daren, get the others out of here, I'll take care of this guy."

Alex ran at Garmadon and attacked. I checked on violet, but she was okay.  We looked at Amber, but she wasn't moving. She must have hit her head badly. Violet and I put her arms around our shoulders, and we moved as fast as we could towards the steps that led down the mountain. Garmadon saw us and threw a lightning bolt with his hand.  I was holding my golden weapon in my left hand, so I told Violet to keep amber standing. I moved out of their way and brought my sword up to block the lightning. It caught on my sword, and I swung it to my right. The bolt was deflected to the floor. Then I saw Alex swing his weapon Into Garmadon shoulder and he was pushed forward. Alex kept the momentum and attacked him again. I put my sword in my scabbard and helped violet as we made our way down the mountain. Garmadon's eyes glowed a furiously as he threw kick after punch at Alex. Alex dodged one after the other, and he pushed his weapon forward so Garmadon could slide back. He then slammed it onto the floor and the whole mountain shook. A gust of wind surrounded him, and he transformed into a green tornado. Garmadon did the same and ran towards him. Alex spun forward and their tornadoes clashed. Inside, Alex threw a gut punch powered by the speed of wind and Garmadon flew out of his tornado. He landed with a back flip but almost fell as he landed. Alex came to a halt and stood in front of his opponent. He somehow looked calm now.

"My brother, what a fool. He really thinks four kids can stop me?"

"Well, I'm pretty sure you have eyes cause I wonder whose butt is getting kicked right now." Alex said as he brought up his weapon.

Garmadon threw multiple shots of lightning at him. Alex swung his weapon and blocked them, but one bolt of lightning made it past his weapon and struck his leg. He almost fell but caught himself with planting his weapon in the ground. He looked up and saw Garmadon stepping into a portal. Alex created gusts of wind around his feet and used them to launch himself at him. Garmadon gave him one last look before disappearing. Alex reached out but he was gone. He landed back on the floor and made a fist with his left hand. Violet and I made it to the bottom of the mountain, and we sat down on a log. Amber slowly regained consciousness. I looked up and I saw Alex using wind to land himself slowly on the floor, it looks like he was getting the hang of this wind elemental thing. 

"Are you guys alright?" He asked

"Yep, but we should head back to the Monastery and get Amber to rest," I said.

Alex gave me his weapon to hold as he picked up Amber, I'm glad we had a pretty strong guy like him on this team. We made our way back to the monastery.
