After two days of training, we finally agreed on taking a short break. Well Amber didn't agree so while the three of us went to the city she stayed back at the monastery. I thought she would've lightened up by now, but she still doesn't like us all that much. We planned to get some lunch, but first Violet had to stop by her apartment. She had just moved in about 3 months ago. She told us to wait out in front of the building while she went to go feed her cat. She promised to let us in next time, just that we should probably get back to training, but first was lunch time.

"Yo Daren," Alex said.

"What's up."

"Everything good with you?" he asked.

"Yea, why'd you ask?"

"I don't know, you seem a bit out of it,"

To be honest I was. I've been thinking of ways I could further investigate my uncle and aunt's disappearance. Now I do have excuses to new places because of what I'm doing, but how far is being a ninja going to take me with finding out what happened to them. The question was will it all get me closer to any type of answers. Wu told me about them. They fought together in the first serpentine war, and he knew them for many years. It turns out a lot of elemental master new each other.

Wait, maybe that was it. If I could find other elemental master, perhaps I could see if they know what happened to them.

"Nah I'm chilling, what about you?"

"I'm good man, just crazy to think we're doing this," he said.

"Finally eating all together?"

"Yea that too, but I meant this whole Ninja thing. We were literally just living normal lives and then Bam, we're now the sole protectors of Ninjago,"

"We're not done yet; we still have to deal with Wu's brother."

"I don't think he actually told us about what happened, yea we were told by Mistake, but he hasn't shared it himself," he said.

"Yeah, but that may be because it sounds like something someone wouldn't want to remember. The night their brother turned against them. It doesn't sound pleasant."

"And I'm back,"

Violet walked back out of the building. She had a purse strapped over her shoulder. We began to walk deeper into the city. It was just another busy day for Ninjago. We were heading for a donut shop a couple of blocks away. They had some killer bagel sandwiches for lunch.

"So, what were y'all talking about?" Violet asked.

"Not much, just trying to process the fact that Wu is related to Garmadon." Alex said.

"Yea that's gonna take a while to process. It sucks that we have to fight him. I mean, do you think Wu is bothered by it?" she asked.

"Wouldn't it bother anyone if they had to actually fight someone close to them?" I responded.

We walked in silence for a bit till Alex chimed.

"Oh yeah, did you guys see the latest movie from space conflicts?"

When we arrived at the shop, we each ordered something. I got me a toasted bacon, egg and cheese bagel. Alex ordered an egg, hash brown and jalapeño bagel. Violet ordered a donut. She said that she's trying to watch her figure. Once our orders were ready, we picked them up and walked outside to sit at a table. One of those common round tables with an umbrella attached to the middle. We sat there for while just eating silently, but I broke the silence.

"So, Alex, what happened with the dojo?"

I had forgotten that he ran one now.

"I just let one of my students take over it until we finish all of this. I trust it's in good hands,"
