"Dammit!" Garmadon yelled.
He swung his staff across Samukai's face.
"Please my lord, have mercy, I attempted to stop her, but she was more powerful than I thought," he said.
"Oh really? I'll show mercy when you prove to me, you're actually useful!"
He struck Samukai again across the face and he stumbled back. Garmadon then spun into a purple tornado. It engulfed the skeleton and after a few seconds he was launched out of it and smacked right into a wall. He sat up against it with his hands in front of him.
"Please stop," he begged. His red eyes filled with fear.
Garmadon pointed his staff at him and unleashed an enormous beam of purple lightning. The screams filled the fortress halls. His body was left smoking. Garmadon left him to suffer in his throne room as he walked back to his seat. He planted his staff on the ground and closed his eyes. Then a portal appeared right behind him. He took a step back and then underworld disappeared, being replaced by a living room. He looked around. It was decorated with furniture, pictures of a baby on the walls and an unlit fireplace. Nighttime had fallen onto Ninjago and even for a busy city it was very quiet. The house was dark but the lightning on top of his staff lit his surroundings. He found a set of stairs that led to the second floor, and he walked up until he reached a room. He stood outside of it for a minute. His breathing was soft, but his heart was beating a bit faster. He opened the door slowly and then walked in. On his left was a crib. The room was painted in a shade of darker green and there were toys scattered across the floor. He stood next to the crib and looked over. A little baby slept there, wrapped in a green blanket. There was a little patch of blonde hair on its head. Garmadon didn't touch it, just stood over it, looking at the baby. He was admiring it.
"How long have you been coming here?"
Startled, he quickly turned around and pointed his staff at the person who spoke. A woman slightly shorter than him. She was wearing a pair of sweatpants and a large beige sweatshirt. Her hair flowed just below her shoulders and there were hints of grey amongst the brown. Garmadon lowered his staff and just stood there. He couldn't find any words to say.
"I need to ask you step away from my son."
"You mean our son" he responded.
She scoffed at his response, and she walked away and down the stairs. He followed her. She was holding the door open for him.
"Misako I-"
"Shut up," she said quietly, trying to avoid waking the baby up. She closed the door behind her.
"You don't get to say anything about him or me. We're over Garmadon."
"I am his father; he needs one to raise him."
"Yeah? You should have thought of that before you left to pursue making Ninjago into your own image or whatever the hell that's supposed to mean."
He walked over to her and tried placing his hand on her shoulder. She turns around and threw a kick to his chest with her right foot. He stumbled a few steps back. She had her fists raised up in front of her. He looked up and then back at her. He frowned at her.
"You think you can keep him safe. You think you're enough to protect him? Then you are making the wrong decision,"
"I know what's best for MY son, now get out,"
"Who do you think you're talking to."
"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY DAMN HOUSE!"
She swung the door open for him. The sound of a baby crying filled the house. Then a portal opened up behind him. He then raised his staff and pointed it at her. He shook his head and stepped back into the portal. The house was quickly replaced by his throne room. He turned and pointed his staff at Samukai, still up against the wall.
"The next time the Ninja are going to visit us, so I want you to prepare an army of your skeletons to welcome our guests. Fail me once more and I will have no mercy. Is that understood?"
"Yes Garmadon, but how are you certain that they will come to us?" he said as he struggled to get back up.
"Because they are going to need to save someone from here."
He opened up a portal in front of him and stepped through.
