Chapter 19, Prison break

A few minutes of wandering and the girls had found a hallway full of cells. The doors were made out of metal, so it wasn't going to be easy to break them. 

"Sensei are you here?" Amber yelled out quietly.

"Amber?" A voice spoke out from down the hall. 

They quickly made their way to the voice. It was Wu. He was sitting at the back of the cell meditating. Of course, he would be even at a time like this. He stood up and walked to the cell door.

"Where are the other two?" he asked.

"They're going to find Garmadon," Violet said. 

"What? He's too dangerous," he replied.

"Don't worry. Alex has fought with him before so the two of them combined can take him."

He looked worried. Then they heard a call door being opened to the left them. Violet and Amber looked over and saw a handful of skeletons walked out of the cell. Then Samukai followed. They both drew their weapons out. They heard footsteps from behind them Amber turned around and saw another group of skeletons heading their way. They now were back-to-back. Samukai let out a laugh. 

"Did you guys really think it would be that simple?" he said. 

He raised a hand, and all the skeletons ran to attack the Ninja.

"Hallway fight, I've always wanted to do this," Violet said.

They both ran in the opposite direction to fight each group of skeletons. Violet used her left foot to propel herself off the wall and smacked her trident right into a skeleton. She used the momentum and spun to sweep the legs of another skeleton. Then one stabbed his sword at her. She grabbed his hand on the handle and pulled him forward. She then jumped and kneed him in the chest. Two more skeletons stood in front of Samukai. He was just waiting for her to finish. She twirled her trident and ran towards them. A shuriken flew past violet as she ran and returned back to Amber. She shoved the skeleton away from her and threw he front kick to its face. She turned around and threw both her shuriken. A trail of ice followed as they spun around the group of skeletons. Ice begun to form around their joints, and they slowed down. She jumped at the first one and landed a right hook to its shoulder. She spun to her right and swung her arm across another's face. One of them was going for a swing with his sword but he wasn't fast enough. Amber pulled the sword from his hand and swung it across his chest. She pushed the skeleton aside and saw one more in her way. She ran up to him and threw an uppercut to his jaw. The Ice slowed its fall, so she placed her foot on its leg and then used him as a step. She jumped off of him and grabbed her shuriken as they were still in the air. She landed on one knee and without looking she threw a shuriken behind her. It quickly tore through the group, and it came back to her. 

"Amber!"

She heard the yell from down the hall. She turned around and saw that Violet was being held up by her collar. Her trident was on the floor. She threw a shuriken at Samukai. It was lodged into his chest-plate, and he let go of Violet. She fell but pushed herself back and grabbed her trident. Samukai used a dagger to knock the shuriken out of his chest. Before it fell, Amber called it back and it returned to her. They both stood in front of him.

"You aren't winning this time Ninja," he said.

They both nodded and ran at him. He pulled out two new daggers and twirled them. Violet first attacked and swung her trident across his chest. He stepped back and dodged the attack, but Violet stepped aside, and Amber appeared. She swung her shuriken at him. It stuck his arm. He swung a dagger at her, but she spun to her left and dodged it. Violet stepped in and threw a punch at his face. He stumbled back and yelled. He grabbed Violet's arm and threw her into a cell door. He ran at Amber and unleashed a fury of strikes. She took a step back with each strike to avoid the daggers. She then tossed her right shuriken into her left hand and grabbed one of his arms. She threw an uppercut and it landed, but he then grabbed her arm. He threw a kick to her gut, and she slid back. He was relentless. He ran towards her once more. He stabbed his dagger at her, and it cut through her sleeve just below her shoulder. Luckily it didn't catch any skin. She then spun into her tornado and moved past him and behind. He turned around and faced her.

"Now Violet," She yelled.

Behind them, Violet created a large ball of water and threw it at them. Amber ran into Samukai and raised her foot onto his chest. She used that to jump into a back flip. The ball of water passed right under her, and it hit Samukai. Amber kept the ball of water in place, so it surrounded his entire body. Amber then shot a ball of ice at the water, and it completely froze him. Violet smiled at Amber. While she couldn't see it, she thought Amber smiled in return. They ran over to Wu's cell. Amber placed a tip of her shuriken into the keyhole. The inside of the lock froze, and she then jammed the shuriken further in. The lock broke from the inside and the door was unlocked. She opened the door and Wu walked out. 

"Well, it seems like you two are working together."

"Yeah, let's just get out of here," Amber said.

They all walked over to another door at the end of the hallway, but it was locked. Amber had an idea to get it opened. She lodged her shuriken into the wooden door and her arm was surrounded by blue energy. Ice pulsed out of her weapon, and it travelled throughout the cracks and splinters of the wood to make it fragile enough to break. At the end of the hall, they heard footsteps. It was another group of skeletons.

"You two get this door open, I'll hold them off for you," Wu said, and he ran at the skeletons. 

Violet looked at Amber and leaned against the wall next to the door. 

"So how long is this gonna take," she said.

Amber rolled her eyes and concentrated on the door.  She looked at violet for a bit. 

"Hey there's something I want to tell you, but it's really personal,"

"I'm all ears, you can tell me anything," she responded.

"It's about who I am, I'm not who you think I might be."

"Try me, I won't tell a soul."

"I-"

She was interrupted by a skeleton running up to Violet. She blocked his sword with her trident and threw a kick to its chest, which sent him flying back. She twirled her trident and threw it at another coming towards her. Amber shook her head and snapped out of it. She removed the shuriken from the door and threw a punch at it. It exploded from the punch and now they could leave.

"Alright let's go." she said.

Wu and Violet ran past her and out of the hallway. Violet stopped for a second and turned around. 

"Wait what were you saying?"

"It was nothing. Let's find the guys."
