"This looks like his room," I said

We were here. We entered a room dimly lit with those purple torches. In the middle of the room was a throne covered with bones. Yeah, this place was for sure spooky. We had our golden weapons drawn. We had to be ready for anything.

"So, you two are the ones who are supposed to stop me? Pathetic."

We looked around but there was no one visible. Then the torches on the sides of the throne lit up. A shadow appeared to be sitting on the throne. It slowly formed into Garmadon as he stood up and walked towards us.

"Don't get any closer or we'll be forced to take you down." I said as I raised my sword in front of me.

He laughed. The sound of it filled the room.

"What makes you guys think that you can stop me? I'm the king of the underworld. The master of shadows. And what are you?" He asked.

Alex and I nodded at each other.

"We're the ones who are gonna kick your butt," Alex said.

We ran towards him. He shook his head and kneeled down. He placed both his hands on the ground, and they exploded with purple energy. Lightning shot up from the cracks on the floor. I spun to my right as I saw lightning shoot up from in front of me. In the corner of my eye, I saw a bolt shoot from the wall. I had to stop and deflect it with my sword. Then another one shot up from the floor right next to me. I was stuck trying to avoid getting hit. Meanwhile, Alex had reached Garmadon. He swung his Axe down at him. Garmadon grabbed it and pulled himself forward and then threw and upper cut at him. Alex flew back but used a beam of wind from his left arm to land safely on the ground. He saw that Garmadon was holding his golden weapon. For some reason he threw it aside.

"Alright Alex, let's go for round two."

Alex ran towards him. He threw a right cross at his face. It landed but Garamdon was unphased by it. He actually smirked and returned an uppercut. Alex blocked it with his left hand and swung his right elbow into Garmadon's shoulder. He blocked it and grabbed both of Alex's wrists. He then threw a kick to his chest, and it put space in between them.

"Alex duck!" I yelled.

I threw a fireball and Alex ducked under it. It hit Garmadon dead center, and he was phased by that one. My sword caught on fire, and I ran up to him. I swung my sword at his head. He ducked and moved closer to me. He threw a right punch at my shoulder, and it landed, but then I moved past him and swung my sword across his back. It struck him and he stumbled forward. Alex then threw a punch to his face, and it landed. Garmadon stepped away for a second and looked at us.

"Okay, maybe you two do pose a bit of a threat. Too bad, I was going easy on you."

He then spun into a purple tornado. It spun towards me first. I brought up my sword. The purple tornado hit my sword and I held it in place for a few seconds, but then I passed through it. I was surrounded by the energy and saw Garmadon reaching his hand out. He grabbed my neck and pushed me back into a wall. The tornado disappeared and I was left being held up against the wall. I lost grip on my sword, and I had to drop it. His hand was squeezing hard, and I couldn't breathe. My fists caught on fire, and I threw a punch at his chest. It didn't affect him. Alex then came in from the left and tackled him away from me. I fell and was grasping for air. Alex recovered the fall by rolling. He quickly turned around and shot a beam of wind at Garmadon. He ran through it and ran at the ninja. Alex then reached out for his golden weapon, and it flew into his hands. He stabbed it forward. A portal appeared behind him, but he couldn't react fast enough. Garmadon dodged the stab and used his shoulder to push Alex back into the portal. Another opened up across the room and it appeared some feet above the ground. Alex flew out of it and fell onto the floor. Garmadon ran through the first portal and appeared through the other one. Still on the floor, Alex brought his weapon in front of him and blocked the incoming punch. He then kicked Garmadon off of him and he stood back up. He then opened up a portal beneath him and fell through. I walked back over to Alex.

"Where did he go?" Alex asked.

I looked around the dimly lit room and saw nothing. Then out of nowhere multiple portals popped up around us. In a matter of seconds, we were surrounded by them. The energy being radiated from them made me feel a bit dizzy. I removed my hood and Alex did the same.

"We need to get out of-"

I was interrupted by a fist making contact with my face. Garmadon had ran out of one of the portals and then disappeared into another. Alex and I stood back-to-back. Then he appeared in front of Alex. Alex stabbed his axe at him, but Garmadon grabbed onto the handle and pulled it through the portal in front of them. Then his golden weapon appeared through a portal to my left side and the sharp tip grazed my left arm.

"Sorry!" Alex yelled.

He pulled the weapon back and then threw a kick to Garmadon's gut. He moved back into a portal and reappeared my right. I swung my sword at him, but I was too dizzy. I couldn't keep my eyes looking in one direction. Garmadon dodged my attack and then landed an uppercut to my jaw.

"Dammit. Screw this!" I yelled. My left arm caught on fire, and I used a blast of fire to propel myself up and out of the circle of portals. Alex did the same and landed next to me. The portals disappeared and one appeared above us. Garmadon fell out of it and swung his fist on the ground when he landed in between us. It created a wave of purple energy that flung Alex and i into opposite walls.

"C'mon. Give me a real right," He yelled.

His arms were surrounded by his energy. He then shot two separate beams at us. I quickly brought my sword up and I blocked the beam of energy. He continued to shoot the beam at me while Alex managed to dodge the beam and made his way towards Garmadon. He saw Alex coming so he gave the beam a push. It was separated from his arm, and it was pushed through my sword. As if it had a mind of its own, the energy surrounded me and pulled me against the wall. It was holding me tightly. Garmadon then focused his attention on Alex. He grabbed on to the golden weapon and slid back as Alex pushed him back. He pulled it out of the ninja's hands and swung it back. Alex moved to the left but moved his right leg for a kick. For a second his leg was surrounded by his green energy and this time it hurt Garmadon.

That was it. If I could channel my elemental energy through my body, I could affect him.

Alex thought of that and channeled his energy into his right arm. He threw the punch at Garmadon's face, and he stumbled back from it. He responded by swinging the golden weapon back at his head. Alex grabbed onto it and pulled it away. It landed on the ground behind him. He threw another punch to Garmadon's side, but he grabbed his arm mid-swing. His arm was then also surround but his own purple energy, but it began to spread onto Alex's arm. His green elemental energy was slowly being engulfed by Garmadon's energy. He let out a yell as it felt like his arm was burning. He tried pulling away, but it wasn't working. He looked behind him and reached out his left hand to call for his weapon. It flew towards him, but Garmadon reahced forward and intercepted it. He then pulled his arm back and swung the Axe upwards. It managed to cut right through Alex's clothes and into his chest. Garmadon let go of him. Alex fell onto his knees, and then the floor. I let out a yell of anger and my eyes exploded with energy.

"I'm so sorry Daren, but he was in my way. It's your turn now." Garmadon said.

My sword caught on fire, and I cut off the energy around me. I landed back on the floor and sprinted at him.
