We hear Ethan's coming back downstairs so we immediately get our hands off of each other. Jeremy clears his throat as he gets up from the couch. "What's up?" Jeremy answers Ethan with his arms crossed. I turn over to hear what Ethan was going to announce still not fully processing what just happened between Jeremy and me. All I know is that it was... heavenly. I see Ethan standing there and pauses. He stares at both of us. "What were you guys— uhh never mind. Anyways guess what!" Ethan exclaims. "what?" me and Jeremy both nervously answer. "Grayson is finally planning to get up from his bed and come downstairs!" He says in excitement. Jeremy gasped at the news. "oh..." I quietly say. "No way! How'd you manage to convince him?" Jeremy asked.
A sudden urge of regret appears. What was I thinking? Why did I let Jeremy do that to me? Why didn't I stop him? I guess you forget that you have a boyfriend when you haven't talked to him for over five months, which causes you to make stupid decisions. At the time, all I could focus on was the taste of Jeremy's lips. The worst part of it all is that Jeremy has no idea I'm dating Grayson. Oh, how terrible I feel.
"It took me a while to convince him but I'm his brother. I knew what would make him snap out of it." Ethan says. He turns his head over to me with a questionable look as to why I don't seem excited. I fake a smile so he would get off my tail. "Well, whatever you told him it sure as hell worked. When's he coming down?" Jeremy asks. "He should be down in a few. He says he needed a couple of minutes. While we wait we should watch a movie. Jeremy, go pick out a movie while Jayden and I make popcorn." Ethan nudges his head toward me telling me to go with him. I get up and follow him to the kitchen.
"Sooo what kind of popcorn you wanna make? regular? Extra butter? Caramel? Salty?" I nervously ask him trying to make some conversation before he gets the chance to start off. "Jayden stop it. I saw what you did." He says as he turns over and looks at me. This is what I was afraid of. "What do you mean?" I ask hoping he is talking about something else. "You know what I'm talking about! I saw you kissing Jeremy! Wanna explain what was that about?" He says furiously with his arms crossed. He waits for a response. "Oh- well I- I don't know. He was the one that kissed me first okay? I don't know why I went with it." I say. I rub my elbow and look down in shame. "The fuck does that have to do with anything?! Still doesn't make you innocent! You have a boyfriend! You wanna know the reason why Grayson finally got the power to walk again? Because of you! I reminded him about you and all the memories you two had. Imagine if Grayson finds out that you kissed another guy. That would crush him. You have to tell Jeremy that it was a misunderstanding before it gets messy!"
Before I can say something. I start hearing heavy footsteps slowly coming downstairs. That must be him. I know Ethan hears it too. We turn over and see Grayson who has made it downstairs. There he is... my boyfriend. The man I've been waiting for all my life. Seeing him right in front of me, knowing what happened to him makes me so proud of how far he has come. He surely is strong, on the inside and out. There is still so much progress our relationship needs to make but I'm willing to do it. He took a bullet for me and I will do the same for him. For a second we all just stand there in disbelief, seeing Grayson finally outside of his bedroom for who knows how long. Ethan and Jeremy run up to him and hug him. "Grayson!" Jeremy exclaims in joy. "How've you been buddy? I missed you!" Jeremy says still wrapped around Grayson. "Could've been better" Grayson says followed by a small chuckle. "Glad to see you back on your feet bro," Ethan says to him. Ethan and Jeremy let go of Grayson and now I get a clear shot of him.

Grayson sees me immediately. We both lock eye contact as we walk toward each other slowly looking at each other's eyes every second of the way. We stop once we're close enough to each other. "Hi." He says. "Hey," I say back. A soft smile appears on his face and can't help but to smile back. Both our smiles grow larger the longer we stare into each other's eyes. He gently caresses my cheek with his hand. His eyes explore my entire face, every inch of it as I do the same. His long beard covers most of it but I know he's still the same old Grayson I met the first time I locked eyes with him. He cups my cheek and slowly gets closer to me. We both close our eyes and start to get closer when suddenly I remember Jeremy watching. Jeremy doesn't know about our relationship and I'm sure Grayson isn't quite comfortable sharing his sexual preferences with anybody just yet. The only people who know about Grayson being Bi are me, Ethan, my sister Chloe, and my two best friends, Kristal and Morgan.
The closer he got to me the more guilt I felt knowing my lips have already been on Jeremy's lips. My guilt gets the best of me and pushes Grayson away before our lips touch.
I know for a fact that Grayson wouldn't have wanted to kiss me if he knew what I did. Shame on me. "Woah there Grayson... you alright?" Jeremy asked. "yeah..." Grayson says softly. Grayson turns around with his head hanging low. "Well uhh, It's late so... I should go to bed now. Goodnight." Grayson says. He walks back upstairs and into his room. "Goodnight," Ethan and Jeremy say back to him. This is the first time I've seen him in five months and I ruined it. I need to go talk to him. "Well, you two still down to watch a movie?" Jeremy says to us.
"Sure, I just need to do something real quick," I say as I jog my way up to Grayson's room. I open the door and find him laying on his bed with his hands over his eyes. "Can I come in?" I ask him which startled him. "Oh yeah sure. Come in." He says as he sits up on his bed making room for me to sit on it too. I take off my shoes and get in bed with him. "So... what's up?" Grayson asks me.
"I just wanted to say sorry. For what I did." I say. He looks at me smiling. "You don't need to be sorry. I know it's strange seeing me again. Especially with a beard, I must look scary." He chuckles. I throw my head back as I laugh. "None sense. You're still my cute puppy dog I know and love." He smiles. "Would you wanna sleep with me tonight? Like good old times." Grayson lays back down and then lightly nudges my head on his chest. I close my eyes. "How's that?" he asks. He wraps his arm on my waist and the other under his head. God, I missed this feeling. The feeling of his warm heartbeat on my ear as I slowly fall to sleep is more than I can ask for. Sleeping on his chest is like sleeping on clouds.
"Amazing." I simply say. This is the most relaxed I have been for who knows how long. "I'm glad." He says with a low raspy voice that created shivers all throughout my body. "Maybe we can try that kiss again," Grayson smirks. His hand slides down to my ass and gently squeezes it. He was gentle, yet so firm at the same time. "Hey, Jayden the movie is- Woah... why is it so dark in here?" Jeremy burst into the room unexpectedly which startled us both. We both immediately jumped out of surprise and got up from his bed before he turned on the lights.
The lights turn on and sees us standing on opposite sides of the bed. "Uhh did I interrupt something...?" Jeremy becomes spectacle. "No no!" I say which were the only words I could think of. Jeremy raises an eyebrow. "Ok... well the movie is starting. You coming Jayden?" he asked. "Oh- you guys are watching a movie...?" Grayson asks me. "Yeah sorry I forgot to tell you, wanna join us?"
"Nah I'll stay here," Grayson says.
"I'll wait for you downstairs Jayden," Jeremy says.
"I'll be over in a bit!" I yell as Jeremy closes the door and walks away.
"I thought you were gonna sleep with me tonight?" Grayson says. He gets back on his bed and waits for me to answer him. How can I sleep with Grayson when I know I kissed Jeremy. I cant. I can't find it in me to sleep with him anymore. "Yeah but... I promised Jeremy to watch a movie with him." I slowly start backing away from him with my hands behind my back.
"Oh okay... well... I'll see you in the morning," Grayson says.
