Jayden's POVI just came back from the reunion Kristal hosted at the twin's place, though most of the time I was at the beach with Grayson. I enter through the front door of Liam's house as I carefully put my keys back in my pockets to prevent them from making a loud noise. It's 11 pm so I'm sure Liam and Oreo are already asleep. I move slowly and cautiously through the living room and try to make it upstairs when I realize Oreo sitting on the couch. It was dark so I couldn't tell if my eyes were playing tricks on me. "Oreo?" I whisper which causes him to hop off the couch to come and greet me. What is doing in the living room this late at night? Usually, Liam puts him in the basement before going to sleep. "Liam!" I shout. "I'm home!" No reply. Guess he's not home.
Wonder where he has gone this late at night. Liam doesn't like Oreo on the couch so it's probably for the best if I put Oreo in the basement. Oreo never wanted the basement so I feel bad for putting him there, but rules are rules. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever been in the basement before. Liam has always been protective over the basement ever since I moved in with him. He never allowed me to enter for whatever reason. Liam has never been the commanding type, but the only time he told me not to do something was to go to the basement. He looked like an adorable little puppy while doing so though. Knowing Liam, he's probably working on some sort of enormous art project and doesn't want me to see it until he's finished with it.
Well, I'm going to have to go down there to place Oreo down. Besides... one tiny peek wouldn't hurt. I open the door to the basement and carried Oreo with both hands. God, I never knew how heavy he was. I carefully walk down the stairs, and I look down to make sure my feet land on each step so I won't fall. The basement wasn't like a regular modern type of basement. It was more worn down and rusty. The lights weren't too bright either which made it difficult walking down these stairs. Especially while carrying a dog. On top of all of it, the more I continued going down, the stronger the stench of bleach mixed with expired eggs get. Now I understand why Oreo doesn't like it in here.
When I finally reach the bottom I place Oreo down and take a moment to catch my breath. I look back to explore the half-litten basement, which I immediately regret. My heart stops as I'm unable to take my eyes off of the horrifying sight. Laying there, in the corner of the basement are two bodies covered in blood with their guts torn open. In front of the dead bodies is a canvas with a painting of the exact bodies that are laying on the floor. I let out a terrified scream which sent chills running down my body.
In fear, I quickly run back upstairs with my heart nearly beating out of my chest. As I approach the exit of the basement, Liam blocks the door and powerfully swings his bats across my face.
My body collapses... Everything turns black...

My eyes begin to open back up after who knows how long. I slowly become conscious of my surroundings again. Then I remembered. Liam! The basement, the bloody bodies. The horrific thoughts all circle my head. I gasp as I quickly rise my upper body in terror. That's when I realize... wait... I'm in my bed. The lower half of my body is under the sheets. The same soft white and beige sheets I always sleep in. I take a look at my surroundings and am pleasantly surprised to find myself in my room. Everything looks the same as it always was. My clothes are neatly placed in my closet, the teddy bear that Grayson gave to me is right next to me, the early morning sunlight peeking through my window blinds, everything is normal. It was all a dream... I take a heavy sigh of relief as I realize that none of that was real.
My forehead was dripping in sweat from the fear, so I lift my hand up to whip it off but I felt a force stopping me halfway. I tried lifting my hand back up, this time with more force, but I could only make it up to my chest before a strong force stopped me from going any further. My anxiety builds back up. In a panic, I lift my other hand but the same effect happened. I kick the sheets out of the way and shortly discover that a rope ties my wrists down.
