Never Took The Time - Chapter 58

*PAIGES POV*
As The Hunger Games plays through the cinema room, Niall's arm is draped over me and I Fangirl over Peeta on numerous occasions. But, the truth is I feel like absolute shit. Shelby left. She left us. She left me. I realise it was for a good reason but she didn't have too. We already discussed that she was going to be the lads legal back up, basically someone who gets paid for copyrighting songs and helping them if the ever get sued..hasn't happened yet but you never know. Anyway, this whole attempted suicide ordeal messed us all up but mainly her and Lou. They've cheated on each other because their not, or weren't, happy as a couple. So now their friends and again I'm happy now that their happy but she didn't have to leave! I'm only three months away from having my babies and she has to be there! 

I stare into my cup, which is filled with water. It's all I can keep down. Shelby's been gone a couple of days now and since then, I've just been a complete mess. "I blame myself..." I mumble to Niall and Chloe as they endlessly ask the same reoccurring question, 'Whats wrong Paige?' Of course, their not stupid, they know its about Shelby leaving and possibly Becky leaving. Yes, she left yesterday. Said she was fed up of getting shit off everyone and that we weren't her friends. This shattered Zayn's heart into a million fragments. But, he picked himself back up this morning and his planning on meeting up with Perrie from Little Mix. I'm happy for him. "But why Paige? There's nothing you could've done to stop her!" Chloe replies desperate for me to show any sign of realisation. "Yes there is Chloe! If I would've just listened to her properly about her kiss with Liam instead of looking down at her then she'd still be here!" I scream as my true thoughts spill out of my body. They look at me seriously. "How do you know?" Niall whispers, as Chloe clutches my hand. I shake my head, pleading them to not make me answer that question. Tears form in my blue grey orbs. "I can't!" I reply, sorrow surrounding my face. I stand up quickly, well, slowly actually. I mean, I'm carrying twice the size of my usual weight so a dramatic exit is out of the question. I still feel the same though. "Just give me a moment please! I need to sort my head out." I ask desperately before hugging Chloe quickly and kissing Niall softy. As I head towards the door my gaze lands on Beth. I smile and she returns one, not bothering to ask. Good choice.

Gradually, I enter our room and as I do my phone begins to blare the ringtone 'What Makes You Beautiful' My eyes open wide in shock and I almost dive across the room to answer the call "Shelby!" I mumble down the phone. "Hey Paige!" She replies, sounding slightly off the weather. "Shit Shelby! Why did you leave us! You have to come back! Please come back! I want you to come back before my babies are born." I should shout this down the line but I decide against that. She gives out a sigh "Paige, I'm sorry I left but you know I had to have some time away. I've got just under two months left on my law studies so once I've finished those I'll...I'll be back. Before I left the lads said my job will always be open and available to me. And that means I'll be back in plenty time before my little nieces or nephews are born." I can imagine her smiling down the phone at the thought, so that's what a do. "So..you're okay? You haven't been-" she cuts my off mid sentence "No Paige. I haven't been doing anymore of that, I've been seeing a councillor who has helped me sort through my problems. How's everyone?" 
"Everyone's fine I guess. Becky's left, god knows where she's gone. I think she hates us now or something. Lou and Liam are...well their coping as well as can be expected, surprisingly enough, Liam is worse. I'm sorry Shelby but Louis has been seeing Ellie a few times a day and-" she cuts me off once more "It's okay, seriously. We'll always love each other but I want him to be happy. So if he is then I'm happy too. I'll have to go in a minute but can you tell Liam something from me please Paige? It'd mean a lot" she almost begs me. "Of course I will, what's the message?" I ask her curiously. "Tell him I..." My battery dies instantly, I almost scream and throw it against the wall but I calm myself quickly. As long as she's okay, but I can't wait for my phone to charge so I can find out what she wanted me to tell Liam. I hope it helps them both.
